Vixen GP & Celestron CG-5 Drive Compatibility

I recently purchased a Vixen GP mount with the intention of buying the Sky Sensor2K. As the Sky Sensor purchase is some ways off I would like to get a dual axis drive controller to use for photographic guiding without investing half the price of the Sky Sensor (the Vixen controller plus motors is ~$500). Does anyone know if the Celestron dual axis drive controller and motors for the CG-5 will work on the Great Polaris mount...and if so, how well for guiding purposes? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

- Dave

I am almost certian that the Celestron drives will "works" on the GP (I used the Vixen Drives on a CG-5), I would think they would be OK as long as you are shooting at very short focal lengths (Like < 500mm)...
