I have tried on several occasions to report a stolen certified check scam, but no one has return my call. To whom can I report such activity? Someone on registered on this site offered to buy my telescope and sent me a phony certified check. I always thought certified checks were as good as cash, but now I know they are not. I almost lost $7,100. The bank told me I would have been liable for the fraudulent certified check and would take an out of my own funds. I think users should be warned to verify that certified checks are not stolen or purchased with fraudulent funds before sending off your equipment. The receiver of the check is liable if the check is fraudulent in any way. This just happened last week. This fool, "Bryon Davies, [email protected]" is a con and could be preying on others in this forum. How do I get the word out and why has no one called me back from this web site?
