Vixen focusers Help!

Hi Gang, I just bought a Vixen fluorite off Astromart. The OTA is immaculate but the focuser is another story. Their either too tight or too loose or rattle. Can they be adjusted or fixed by an expert or do you just toss the whole thing in the can?

Pronto for moon & Planetary?

Hi Gang, I,ve had a pronto awhile back but never really used it for planetary or the moon. Now I,m thinking of getting another just as a quick look on the moon and planets. I know theres some color but what can I expect as far as detail and realistically how far can I push them.

TV 85 or TV 102

Hi Gang, I,m pondering purchasing another quality refractor again. I just can,t stay away from them. For planetary use will I see that much difference at the eyepiece in the 102 for the price difference than in the 85 other than a little brighter image.I,d like some feedback from any out there that have or have had them.

Late 50,s early 60 Tasco Refractor

Hi gang, I came across a fellow who said he had a telescope up in his closet and hadn,t used it much in 40 years. So up we go to take a peek. He brings down this beautiful wood tongue and grove box. Here inside is this beautiful 60mm white tube tasco with chrome knobs, Quality equatorial mount and I mean quality. Beautiful wooden tripod. The lens on this little beauty is fully collimatable.He wanted $100 for it. I have other high end scopes but this little guy not only gives great views on the planets and the moon but its helping me rekindle some great memories as a boy in 1960. Thought you,d enjoy this .

Televue76 VS Televue 85

I sold my TAK78,wish I hadn,t.I,m thinking of another grab and go refractor.I need your expert thoughts regarding the 76 vs the 85.What difference will I see in the planetary views or will there be nil.Would I notice that much more image brightness in the 85 and last but not least how would the planetary images of the 76 match up with the TAK 78.
