Australian Wine/Canadian acrobat show question....

Canada originated an achrobat show recently with a fancy french name that toured the U.S. They stopped in Sacramento for a few days.

Prior to that show at Cal. Exposition Park, they served a wine from Australia in their refreshment tent at the entrance. It was a VERY dry Cabernet Savignon in a 1.5 liter bottle.

Anyone know the brand of that Cab?. I have tried to find it in the local markets but the 2 Australian Cab. wine brands I found were not it. Taste was not as dry.....

Minutes ago on ch3 Turkeys newly elected leader will support US presence in Turkey. Russia will not Veto the attack.

But where did the missing storage (40 tons) of anthrax go in Iraq?. I keep waiting for information on this point.

My old bookmarks for QCUIAG are fouled up. Have they*(*the developement teams)pulled away out from under that lousy Yahoo groups control which generated so much spam and solicitation e-mails?.

In other words, where is the current QCUIAG work going on at that is focussed on the newer CCD web cams?.

I am not referring to the Q&A board of Yahoo Groups. I camcelled my membership. I also cancelled it too. :-)

That means NONE OF THEIR WINE PRODUCTS TOO!. I would rather have a Chablis than any of their stuff now.

Sunday Mar. 16th. @ 2 P.M. A Grandmother goes shopping at Gottchalks (an upscale dept store.), looking for a new set of cookery for her new radiant cook top. Brousing through a very large selection of brands, she finally picks up an attractive piece from a 12 piece set and examines it carefully.

Noticing the manufacturer....she places it back down and comments...."It is made in France. I do not want anything from France"........ (I did not say a word.)

Bear in mind this is from a gentle woman who has a quick smile for any child, and whom people routinely just naturally seem to smile at and talk to in supermarket lines, shopping centers, and enjoy nodding to her with a smile as she pushes her shopping cart around in the isles.

If AMERICAN WOMEN start getting annoyed at France......... The people of France better do something DAMN QUICK about that Chirac kid!..........

I have emmassed many gallons of a lt. green liquid agent. Either you guys slow down on your deliveries here or I will propell this liquid in the general direction of N. Arizona.

I am 7 pages behind the forum since I started painting the inside of the kitchen cabinets....... :-(

Recent news about a theoretical line drawn in the sand by sad'damn echoes my concerns early last week regarding the encircling of Bagdad.

It appears our Military Govt. is thinking along the same lines about s.h. final defense using whatever he has left or has hidden to destroy our troops. That line I believe would be 20 to 25 miles from Bagdad because that is the accurate range of cannon in the 155mm class. That cannon is easily loaded with biological agents etc.

Before we reach that 25 mi. distance from the city, the city should be ringed with Napalm and Hellfire bombs. We should approach upwind of the city coming in fast under the guns with assualt choppers loaded with troops within minutes after the hellfire starts with the armoured divisions racing to close the gap and provide support. There should not be a pause in the ringing of the city with fire and smoke until we have regrouped.

Addendum- Maybe downwind would be better. That way cannon overshooting would not allow "agents" to drift back up to the troops.

Almost an Astromart topic.... The slow change in emphasis from WMD & Biological storage to a basic "Get sad-damn" as the primary objective.

I agree with the end result of what we are doing, but it is possible that we will NOT find WMD in Iraq or direct link to Bin-boy 911 terrorism, so this newer objective/reason must saturate the media to lessen the old reason we went to war in the first place......

i.e., it's embarrassing to be wrong at the State level.

I hope they do find clear evidence of current mfg. of WMD in Iraq, & I hope the Kurds get to run the country too....PAYBACK TIME!...... I hope.

New Topic - The hidden Science of "Board Warp"

In these days of cheap/quick made materials purchased at local lumber yards a serious problem of boards warping out of shape after construction into a project, continues to plague most of us do-it-yourselfers.

There must be a relationship to dampness, grain direction, ring spacing, and knot hole positions that determine the DIRECTION and how much a board will warp after it has been finished into a fence or telescope project.

If we can come up with basic concepts of "why" we could be more selective in "which" boards to purchase. At the present time it appears to me that location of knots close to the edge are a major cause of serious board warp that is sideways.

Any contributing thoughts could result in a Science break-through that will help MILLIONS of Astromart-Scientists and of course, vex the lumber industry.
