Statistics

Posted By Darrell Fichtl

In looking at the world's religious population it appears that no more than 22% of the population believes in one faith. Even these are further broken down into sub groups that do not necessarily agree.

Saying that consider the following:

If I'm not a Catholic when I die I go to somewhere else besides heaven.

If I'm not a Muslim when I die I go to somewhere else besides heaven.

If I'm not a Mormon when I die I go to somewhere else besides heaven.

If I'm not a Buddhist when I die I go to somewhere else besides heaven.

And on and on. And God help you if you drop a religion that you're in and go to another, you're going to hell for sure.

The bottom line is that no matter what religion you're in, when you die, at least 78% of the world believes you're not going to heaven but rather somewhere else!(Hell, Limbo,Repeating life again or when you die your dead).

Basically if all religions are to be believed, everybody is going somewhere else besides heaven.

Now that's religious nonsense if I've ever heard it.

And you think you've had a bad day!

Murphy's Law in full swing. Oh, and if you think it's faked look closely at the people on the dock.

At second look though; look at the people in 5 and then at 10. I think 10 was Photoshoped with a cut a paste. Still funny anyway.

Vowel screw up.

Posted By Darrell Fichtl

I had an epiphany this afternoon. I realized that all current religion is the cause of a vowel screw up. They changed the u to o and the myth goes on.

Instead of the Sun being God we have the Son being God.

Instead of Amun we have Amen.

Re: Effective management--advice needed (LONG)

Janet:

I was with the phone company for thirty years and had, when I retired, over 100 people working for me.

Forget the "killing with kindness" it doesn't work. Never has, never will. The thing to do is:
1. Have each person the you supervise in private to discuss what they do and what you expect from them.
2. Show no favorites. Men and women get treated absolutely the same. If you need to have a talk about a problem, do it in private. If a women starts to cry then just keep on talking. They'll quit crying after awhile when they find it doesn't work.
3. Know each persons job almost as well as they do.
4. Never let any of your staff get you angry. If they find they can do that they'll make your life a living hell. If they get angry with you DON'T SHOW ANY ANGER BACK.
5. Understand you can't be one of the "guys" anymore. If you start having coffee or lunch with one of your staff others will look at it like your showing favorites.
6. Have a morning meeting to get the ducts in line for the day.
7. If someone deserves praise do it in front of the group at the morning meeting but only if it is truly deserved. If your doing it falsely they'll see right through you.
8. Every now and then use some company bucks to stop by Krispy Kream for morning donuts.

Lastly; Good Luck

Time Travel

Posted By Darrell Fichtl

Dr. Ronald Mallett of the University of Connecticut is working on time travel using high powered lasers.

http://www.phys.uconn.edu/faculty/mallett.html

He feels that someday we will be able to travel in time, especially to send information. But consider what if we could send ourselves!

But there is a small hitch. Where we were then is not where we are now. Considering the the earth is revolving, that we're going around the sun, that the sun is headed toward another star, that the galaxy is revolving, that the galaxy as a whole is moving toward Andromeda , that the whole super cluster is on the move, and that the universe is expanding can we accurately vector to a point in space where the earth was say on April 16, 1962?

How's that for a brain teaser?

The "Stingy" Solution

Posted By Darrell Fichtl

The next time one of these international aid agencies or the UN calls the US "Stingy" we ought to say, "You absolutely correct; we're giving 1/3 less than we stated originally."

That would very soon shut them up.
