Hi All,

I finally was able to do the RGB portion of this nebula last night.
It was a tough processing job because the object being in a
different part of the sky gave me different gradients, etc.

Borg 76ED @ F6.6 piggybacked on a Celestron NexStar 11 GPS - SBIG ST-2000XM - RGB exposures of 40:20:30 at 1X1 binning - 3 hours of hydrogen alpha data - camera temperature at -15.00C - MaxIm/DL - Images Plus - Photoshop CS

I couldn't get a positive ID for these but I think they might be Dunlins in winter plumage. Am I right?

A lot of different sandpiper like birds in this area. This is a Spotted Sandpiper deep in the mangroves.

OT: Perfect Parallax

Hi all,

This is off topic because it's a "terrestial" shot but this shot only happens twice a year and I've been trying to get it for a while. It can only be shot from a 100 yard wide island tip on Ft. DeSoto Park in Tampa Bay. This morning was cloudy, with some rain around and I thought it was not happenning but patience paid off.

Nikon D70 and Nikon 180mm 2.8 lens - bridge about 2 miles away.

Herbig-Haro 222 - The Waterfall

Hi All,

As far as I know this might be the only HaRGB image of this object by an amateur. Yes, it's noisy but that's because it is a really, really dim object - even after four hours worth of exposures. This field is a couple of degrees south of the Orion nebula and is rich in new star formation objects catalogued as Herbig-Haro (HH) objects (there are actually four in the image). I had no idea it was going to be so dim though.

Celestron NexStar 11 GPS - SBIG ST2000XM - Astronomik H-alpha filter - Maxim/DL - Images Plus - PhotoShop CS - Neat Image - 4 hours exposure.

Something bright when it's windy and the Moon is up

Found the brightest thing next to the Moon. This is a first cut I still have some issues to work on. Had some clouds going by during the green and blue sequences.
