This is the reason we shut the bedroom window at night. At 5:45am they start up and pretty much keep it up all day until dark. Nice little fellows though. House Wren with D50 and Sigma bigma.

This one caught my attention noisily scratching (thrashing) in a nearby hedgerow. I set up and he flew out into a small maple about 20 yards away. D50 and sigma bigma.

EOS201 vs TC-80N3 Canon shutter releasesPosted By Mark Hansen |
Looking for advice. I want to be able to program the release to take a series of ten exposures, each 4 minutes long. Then, all I have to do is worry about guiding and not counting exposures or watching the clock. Will I be able to do this with the Canon TC-80N3, or will I need the Hutech? What modification does Hutech do to the TC-80N3 to resell it as the EOS201? Any other differences?

OK, not a natural landscape scene, but to me beautiful none the less. This is the Taj Mahal late afternoon on an overcast day. There are so many blue sky pics of it out there showing it pure white, but the clouds here let the real color of the structure come through. The whole country is an interesting place! Taken with a Panasonic FZ20.

Anyone own one of the Stellarvue 1 1/4" dielectric 99% reflective diagonals? I'm considering buying one. Hopefully it is threaded for filters. Advice on this particular piece would be greatly appreciated. The price from Anacortes seems fair for it.

I'd like to try using an HA filter with my clear glass modified Rebel XT. I've had good luck shooting with an Orion Skyglow filter to increase nebula response and keep the background dark. However, I've seen some spectacular images taken with HA filters. One I am considering is the 7nm 2" dia filter offered by Baader. http://www.alpineastro.com/filters/filters.htm It's part # FHAL-2 near the bottom of the page. I've seen other brands varying from 6nm to 8.5nm, but have no idea what would be the best all around on targets like M17, NA neb, M16, Calif neb, etc. Perhaps different targets respond to different nm filters. I'd like to buy just one HA filter, and keep the price under $300. Thus the interest in the one from Baader. Help, advice, or even links to informative websites on the subject would be much appreciated.
