Pleiades, Seven Sisters, M45, Merope Nebula...

A nice image! First one of the sisters this year (as far as I've seen). Is there a bit of a gradient in the lower part left part of the image? This one is definitely on my "to do" list this year!

Very nice color balance. It is the contrast between the blue and red star colors that always make this custer fun. You did a good job of showing that.

Reworked M33 from Utah

Very nice Tyler! You really brought the dust lanes out and did a great job on the color balance. What are the exposure details?

Pumpkin Pie Nebula...

Same to you Ivan - and to all the folks around these parts!

Very nice image BTW.....and one of my favorite targets. I was planning a working on that one myself tomorrow. I think you nailed the colors perfectly - very natural, and not at all over-saturated. 8)

Life is good - and there is a lot to be thankful for! I've got clear skies - just nailed a GREAT PEMPro run, and recollimated the scope.....so there will be photons captured tonight, and a house full of friends and family tomorrow. It doesn't get better then this!

Hope all is as well with everyone else. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Digitec artificial stars

Posted By Michael Sandy

Hi Dave,

I have one the those as well. It works very well.....better at night of course. I used it collimating a BRC-250 and had to get it about 60-75 ft away to begin to achieve focus. I usually used several extensions to help. It is a nice point source, but it is takes a bit of time to line everything up and get it in the field of view - with the pinhole in of line of sight.

Much better than just using a star....and you avoid all the seeing issues.
