Either that or he’s busy eating the meatloaf he demanded his Mom make.
He's probably writing a love letter to this person:
"A woman who served time in prison for her involvement in the Jan. 6 insurrection embraced former President Trump at a campaign rally in New Hampshire on Thursday before later saying that former Vice President Mike Pence and “every single” member of Congress who certified the 2020 election should be executed."
"After QAnon supporter Micki Larson-Olson was pointed out to Trump as a “Jan. 6-er” by the crowd at a packed diner, Trump sought her out, calling her “terrific,” telling her to “hang in there” and giving her a hug, video shows."

Senate GOP Blocks Equal Rights Amendment

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"Senate Republicans on Thursday blocked a measure that would have allowed the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) to be added to the Constitution."
"Sens. Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Susan Collins (Maine) were the lone Republicans to vote with every Democrat."
"The ERA passed Congress in 1972, having been first proposed in 1923. Constitutional amendments, under U.S. law, must be ratified by three-quarters of all state legislatures, meaning 38 states."
"In 2020, Virginia became the 38th state to ratify the ERA, but it did so after the 1982 deadline to ratify the amendment had passed."
"The Senate resolution would have removed the deadline so that the ERA could become the 28th Amendment. Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) and Murkowski were the resolution’s lead co-sponsors."

Yup, ya all can count on the GOP to do the wrong thing, every time...

That said, I dont have to like him to recognize his policies and actions he took were good for the country not withstanding the bullshit from the haters and leftists regarding J6. IF he wins the primary, he will get my vote same as he did when Hillary was running....and for the same reason. A GOP candidate will ALWAYS get my vote with rare exceptions regardless of who it is. I simply dont see anything coming from the left that is good for the country and have not for a long time. Biden? I cant think of anything worse for this nation than for him to serve another term......He belongs in prison.
"...not withstanding the bullshit from the haters and leftists regarding J6."
That, coming from the guy who responds to "Biden got a new record with more than 81,284,000 votes (51.3% of the total) in the 2020 election." By saying: "Hell no!"
Like Trump said, "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?" Trump remarked at a campaign stop at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. "It's, like, incredible."
Greg is one of those voters.
Tell us Greg, which conspiracy theory makes you believe Biden should be in jail? Is it Hunter's Biden's laptop?
Tell us Greg, what has Biden done that is so egregious that you can't think of anything worse for this nation than for him to serve another term.

THE GOP-Created Debt Ceiling Crisis

Tax revenue has gone up almost 70% (69.4%) in the past decade, $2.78T in 2013 and projected $4.71T in 2023.

Federal spending has gone up (according to proposed budget) 109%, $2.77T in 2013 and projected $5.8T this year.

Before someone says we need higher tax rates lets take a look at GDP for the same period of time

The US economy grew 51% through 2022 (we don't have final figures for 2023 yet).

Productivity went up 51% revenue went up 70%.  this says the more taxes are already being collected at a higher rate.

The answer is clear that spending absolutely needs to be curtailed.

I got all figures from US Bureau of Statistics

Chris
Chris,
There are two separate issues here but you're conflating both of them. The main issue is the current failure of the debt ceiling being raised in order to avoid default. This is the debt and financial obligations that the government has already incurred, going as far back as Bush's war in Iraq and the nearly 8 trillion that was spent under Trump. We have to raise the debt ceiling to deal with it; there is no other way or we end up defaulting on our debt. If that happens, we have a catastrophic event, both nationally and globally.
Yellen went before congress yesterday to warn us that it could happen as soon as June 1st because the projected tax revenue is much less than previously projected.
The second issue here is reigning in future spending and that happens when a budget is created. That's where both parties sit down and agree upon future spending. Biden has already stated he's happy to have that discussion.
The debt ceiling has to be raised without qualifications that compromise the full faith and credit of the United States Government. So far, that hasn't happened...
