The entire nation was nearly overthrown lol
350 is the number attributed to those who committed violent acts during the insurrection with 250 of those violent acts committed against police officers. And the rioter who was shot and killed was deemed a justified shooting by the police investigation that followed. You do back the blue, don't you?
Of course, we'll likely have to revisit the efforts of Trump, Eastman, Giuliani, and many others for their reported roles in an attempt in overturning a free and fair election, the fake elector scheme, Trump's approval of an effort to hang Mike Pence, and the big lie of election fraud but since you believe in the latter, you've obviously been duped like the rest of Trump's cult...

You seem to be the one defending the gov't so why don't you go ahead and inform us all of how often "trespassing" charges are brought against those who happened to be in the Capitol at the time, minded their business, and yet had swat teams of FBI show up at their homes and arrest them weeks or months later.

Many have been brought into DC and have been threatened that they either take a plea or risk being charged with some greater 'crime'.  So then the thug tactics by DC prosecutors are just dandy with you?

There have been over 1000 arrests.   All those people engaged in violence did they?  You must surely know since you are so confident that the DOJ is operating reasonably right?
Here we go again with the gubermint is out to get you HS. Except that these people are being found guilty by a jury of their peers at trial.  Their and your claims to victimhood in all of this disappear with the verdicts. Other than the BS from Lauren Boebert and Margie Traitor Greene, which you and your ultra right wing echo chamber amplify, nobody is being denied the right to a speedy trial and alot of those incarcerated have more provided to them than the rest of us like yoga classes and cardio. They're likely in better shape now than when they were arrested.

You've already stated in a past post in this forum that and I'm paraphrasing here: "hell no, Biden didn't get the votes that he did."
Yeah Greg, he did.
As for the justified shooting, there are places like in the capitol, the pentagon, and the WH that unauthorized entry can be met with lethal force regardless of whether or not the perp is armed.
That said, REPUBLICAN Senator Lindsey Graham told police officers they should have shot pro-Trump rioters on Jan. 6 "all in the head," “We gave you guys guns, and you should have used them," he recounted Graham saying. "I don’t understand why that didn’t happen.”

As for Blow Hard errr I mean Graham.....I rarely give a crap what he has to say. If someone is to be shot over any of what went on why not the ones that were actually committing violence against the police? That would be somewhat justifyable....but certainly not an unarmed woman crawling thru a window.
From post #24: "You have no idea what I believe in lol"
You believe in Trump's big lie that the election was stolen since you've previously stated Biden didn't get the votes that he did.
That said, regarding the shooting in question, from the department of justice:
" Specifically, the investigation revealed no evidence to establish that, at the time the officer fired a single shot at Ms. Babbitt, the officer did not reasonably believe that it was necessary to do so in self-defense or in defense of the Members of Congress and others evacuating the House Chamber."

Let me see, which BS of yours are your referring to, the BS about Biden not getting the votes that he did or your crap about the shooting not being justified?

Proud Boys Convicted: Seditious Conspiracy!

"Four members of the far-right Proud Boys have been found guilty of seditious conspiracy by a jury in Washington, DC, for their roles to forcibly prevent the peaceful transfer of power from then-President Donald Trump to Joe Biden after the 2020 election."
"Defendants Enrique Tarrio – the Proud Boys longtime chairman – Ethan Nordean, Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rehl and Dominic Pezzola faced a range of charges, including three separate conspiracy charges, obstructing the Electoral College vote and tampering with evidence. "
"The guilty verdict marks the third time that prosecutors have secured convictions for seditious conspiracy in the Justice Department’s historic prosecution of those who breached the US Capitol on January 6, 2021."

More and more busted in Greg's "hell no" of a Jan 6th insurrection...

I like Sotomayor, but did your lefty news feed pick up the story of her of allegedly not recusing herself from actual cases1 involving the publisher who has paid her millions.  Yep, Millions.  Gasp.  Breyer recused himself.  Sotomayor did not...

(Personally, I think this is a nothing burger too, but your laser-like focus on the Thomas's needs a break.)

1.  Has anyone accused Thomas of hearing a case involving his billionaire friend? I don't think so.
"No mention of Ginni, of course," the Post quoted Leo instructing Conway."
Does that not tell you something?
PS: I don't know the particulars of the Sotomayor story other than she did disclose it in her financial statement, unlike Clarence in his conflicts, but the non-recusal is troubling although the particulars of that case are unknown to me at this time. In either case, the overall failure here is a lack of application of ethics by SCOTUS, particularly by the chief justice. Finally, Leonard Leo has directly shaped the conservative court and his influence can not be denied.

Compared to the Clintons, Obamas, Bushs, Bidens, Kennedys, and the entirety of Congress, the Justices of the Supreme are like innocent children.
Hmm, that's diametrically opposed to the the reporting I've been hearing and reading, specific to Thomas. The GOP right wing billionaire influencers like Crow and Leo haven't been funding Thomas, his wife and family, including Thomas's mother and the kid that he was the legal guardian of, just because they're nice guys. And it's difficult to fathom that failure to disclose the financial benefits, exclusive vacations on private jets and yachts to exotic locations, and the like somehow passes your sniff test...
