Jonathan Turley On The Trump Indictment

In reply to James, Rod, Greg, Brian, Russ, Rich, Dave, Jim etc.  I've been thinking about this Federal indictment.  It is complicated.   A lot of credible people like Barr say that Trump is in deep trouble.  Other credible people like the WSJ guest editorial this morning by Michael Bekesha think that Trump's actions are very defensible.  I do not have any idea of course.  Only the true partisans know with certainty.   Ha Ha.   As always, my biggest worry is that this situation is exploited and leveraged by Trump into reelection.

Biden's potential scandal does not help.  If 17 audio recordings exist and if they reflect criminal activities, I certainly hope that he too is prosecuted.  If the FBI has in fact been running interference for Biden and his family, I hope it is exposed.   The Burisma story has been around forever, but some of these newer allegations are fresh and troubling.   Although the mainstream press is ignoring the possibility of high level corruption, I am hopeful that the truth will be found and Biden and his family are prosecuted if appropriate or exonerated if that is where the evidence leads.

Right now, all I think we can do is wait and see what happens next.  That and argue, banter, and bait as is always appropriate!
The recordings don't exist:

Jonathan Turley On The Trump Indictment

BTW, one of Trump's attorneys reportedly had devised a strategy to offer the DOJ a plan for the return of all documents in question in exchange for forgoing any prosecutions, thus giving both Trump and the DOJ an off ramp in avoiding a spectacle currently unfolding before the nation. Trump rejected the plan in favor of advice for doing so by Tom Fitton , the leader of the conservative group, "judicial watch." Fitton reportedly told Trump the records are actually his and to fight the DOJ. Fitton is not an attorney and has a BA degree in English.

Anyway, you seem to have a whole stable of these small-potatoes leftie bloggers at your disposal.   Is there a subscription plan?   Jim
That's what's you got? A background behind the guy that you don't like? Are you just horsing around here?
Getting back to the story, do you think Trump just overlooked Marge in her flaming red dress?

Looked to me like Trump was led by his handlers to his right after he exited the plane, and Marjorie was to his left.   For all we know he circled around the crowd and ended with Marge.   No there there and certainly not news!   Jim
It was reported on Yahoo news as well. Is that a bogus source, too?

Righteous Indignation!

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"GOP moderates strike back after conservative revolt paralyzes House"
“The three or four guys who spoke today spoke for 95 percent of us,” Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) told The Hill Tuesday afternoon."
“Ninety-five percent of us were pissed about it,” he said of the nearly weeklong deadlock in the House. “It wasn’t right, it hurt the team.”
And here's what a COLORADO rep had to say about his fellow GOP colleagues:
"Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) also said he was not concerned with members angry about the confrontational tactics."
“They need to go back to drinking,” Buck said.
Other GOP house members had a more sober answer:
"After last week’s revolt — and with a high-profile agenda on the horizon — some moderates are considering cutting conservatives out of the process and working with Democrats instead."

The GOP Plan For Student Loan Debt

Well, here's another GOP plan that I'm sure you guys will support:
"House GOP starts costly effort to save cuts for wealthy in Trump tax law":
"The House Ways and Means Committee this week progressed a bill to revive several expired corporate tax breaks in the 2017 Trump-GOP tax law. That law — which mostly benefited the rich — made certain components temporary to lower the cost of the package to fit congressional budget rules. These provisions were meant to partially pay for other handouts in the law, most prominently a 40 percent cut in the corporate tax rate. Now House Republicans want to keep the rate cut and reopen the loopholes as well."
