You may have also posted about IDAHO, because who knows, maybe you have a freakish beef with Idahoans just as you have this freakish fixation with people in Utah.

Like I said, you have issues so....  wink  LOL
Looking at how people behave in states with very conservative demographics is commonly done in gauging attitudes in the political realm. Obviously, you don't get that...

Ok, but let's assume one is not a quickdraw, perhaps like some of these frequent mass shooters and shootings that occur regularly with high capacity magazines. Changing the mags while firing randomly at fleeing people might take a bit more time for these types, thus allowing more people to escape. That seems to be the general reasoning behind these gun control laws...

Nope... I just thank my lucky stars everyday that I don't GET you.  That would put me in the realm of your insanity.

I wouldn't even want to go there!  wink  LOL
This is the world of insanity you live in, as noted from my post that "Republicans have "issues":

"GOP senators are saying they’re being increasingly confronted by constituents who buy into discredited conspiracy theories such as the claim that Democrats stole the 2020 presidential election or that federal agents incited the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. "

“We should be concerned about this as Republicans. I’m having more ‘rational Republicans’ coming up to me and saying, ‘I just don’t know how long I can stay in this party,’” said Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska).
“Now our party is becoming known as a group of kind of extremist, populist over-the-top [people] where no one is taking us seriously anymore."

Rich is part of the latter...

It is identical in length, just carries more bullets.
It's not that it isn't easy, given the number and amount of mass shootings that we have, it's that it's too easy. It's the time it takes to swap 'em out for another one instead of the incessant firing that can allow people to flee and save lives. These mass shooters don;t walk around with an extra clip in their hand, they gotta fish it out of a military style pocket or a backpack of some sort. THAT takes time....

How is it that his reasoning was flawed?

That's what it boils down to in the end.

The person who pulled the gun is the culprit, not the weapon itself, however when one engages in simpleton reasoning of banning an inanimate object to solve a problem, what one gets is stupidity and mindlessness and nothing that will matter.

I'm not interested in wasting my time with rehashing the nonsense coming from the left.

When you can come up with a rational solution that works, then I'll take a look and see.

What we get from the leftist politician and most of their sycophants is that when some crazy or evil person goes in and kills one or more people with a handgun (and not an AR-15), we still get the stupidity of Joe Biden and those like him who say "we've got to ban the AR-15 rifle" even though an AR-15 wasn't even used in said mass shooting.

If the man had a brain it would rattle in his mostly empty head.

Therefore not interested in discussing the issue when nonsensical assertions are in play.
"HIGHER DEATH TOLL WITH LARGE CAPACITY MAGAZINES"
"An analysis of mass shootings between 1990 and 2017 found that attacks involving large capacity magazines resulted in a 62% higher death toll."

To answer the most ignorant among us, I spoke specifically about 10 round magazines vs. 15 round magazines.

I know you're not the brightest bulb in the box, but here's a hint for you anyway.

If I'm having a discussion with another person about a manual transmission and the problems I'm having with shifting, it is probably not the most intelligent move for the other guy to start telling me that the problem might lie in the torque converter, but if that's your mindset, then explain why I need to bother having a subsequent discussion with someone like you, who links an irrelevant study about 100 round magazines.

Like I said previously, someone must have dropped you on your head earlier in life.
The only response here that is utter stupidity is your own. There are two examples of 100 round magazines and nowhere is it said that this is the usual and customary occurence of a mass shooting. That said, if the high capacity ban was in effect, those would have been banned as well,  with the significant probability that more lives would not have been lost.
Your rants that pass for your idea of reasoning is part and parcel of the extremist ideology noted in the post entitled, "Republicans Have Issues"...

For the last several posts, you keep reciting over and over "look at my posting Republicans have issues".

Greg said it earlier, when he pointed out how transparent you are.

Let's go over what transpired.

I made a comment about you to Greg at 1:35 in this thread telling Greg "he has issues".

Then suddenly right after that, you made a posting titled "Republicans have issues" precisely 16 minutes later at 1:51.   LOL

Now you keep referencing it as if you had an epiphany and came up with that line, when I spoon fed it to you, and now you're so damned weird you want everyone here to think you're some clever guy.

Dude, you're not just weird, you're bizarre!

Get a grip on reality man.  You really are a head case.  Now I know why I left this part of the political forum behind.  tongue
It's obvious, other than to an obtuse fool, that I've been throwing your nonsense about me back into your face by citing the reality of these kinds statements being echoed in the media about the extremists in the GOP of which you are one...

I cited at least 3 instances disproving his premise.....and can come up with more going back close to 200 years.... its pretty simple so I didnt think I needed to actually spell it out for you smile

However, as I said, I am fine with a 10 round limit as it is little more than a feel good ruling for people like you.....if it makes you feel safer I can live with it, its called compromise.
His premise was not predicated upon whether or not high capacity magazines existed at the time, and if you read and comprehend the link you'd know that, but rather that the magazines were considered to be accessories of firearms and not firearms themselves so they are not applicable under the second amendment.
In essence, he had to apply Clarence Thomas' reasoning that one must harken back to the historical precedences of the revolutionary times when the constitution was eventually framed and apply whatever standard existed at that time to today.
Clarence Thomas's "reasoning" works both ways...
