Ok, here's today's Trump view of McConnell's potential replacements, ie the guys you always see around him at the capitol building when he comes up to a microphone:

"A ‘RINO,’ ‘the Stiff’ and a ‘flunky’: Trump’s critical view of potential McConnell replacements"

That any better?...

Ramaswamy: A Soros Fellowship Recipient

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Vivek, Trump's favorite candidate as a potential VP running mate (because he's nice to him),  reportedly paid to have it deleted from his wikipedia bio.
Additionally,  "That award is worth paying attention to, though, and not just because GOP voters would blanch at Ramaswamy’s connection to anything with “Soros” in the name. The bigger issue is that this critic of birthright citizenship benefited from a fellowship for immigrants and children of immigrants."

Typical of yet another GOP hypocrite...

Well, my larger point(s):
Sununu is a Republican GOVERNOR. The reality is Trump leads the field in his party by at least 47 points. Biden has no opposition in his party. So the likelihood of Sununu's prediction is next to nil.
During the GOP debate the other week, virtually all of the Republican candidates, with the exceptions of Hutchinson and Christie, would support Trump EVEN IF CONVICTED. So, the judgment of a governor is seriously in question and so far out of bounds of reality that it clearly defies  it. And, frankly, so is the judgment of most of his party....

Nikki Haley HAD a shot to consolidate the small but non-crazy faction of GOP voters by refusing to back Trump if he was convicted but she'd support him anyway.
Nikki Haley has no shot to win the GOP nomination since MAGA men won't vote for her and, for that matter, neither will MAGA women...

A lot to unpack there.
Haley could have broken with the pack to show her independence from Trump. Chris Christie is currently polling third in New Hampshire and well ahead of Haley so where did Haley's felty to Trump get her?
Biden and Schiff do far better than Trump or most Republicans in the fact checks so your boilerplate statements that they lie all the time is bunk.
I'm not sure why you think this is a pinocchio contest and that somehow explains Haley's support for a convicted Trump for president unless you think she's looking for a VP spot with him...

Biden and Schiff lie as much or more than most politicians, Haley included. Schiff lies a lot more and in a more consequential way.  His lies caused an impeachment.  If Smith convicts Trump for defrauding the USA, then Schiff is next in line, because he clearly defrauded the USA.  (I do not think this aspect of Smith's case is valid) But still, Russia!  Collusion!  The walls are closing in!  I have seen the evidence....!   Schiff and Trump are the same lying SoS person for different parties.

Evidence of Biden's scandals are still developing, so we will see about him.  I will wait to see anyway.   The blind partisans have already formed conclusions.

I think it is naïve for you to think that Rs as a breed lie more than Ds.   I get it that you are a partisan.  Partisan Rs thinks Ds lie more than Rs.   You are both wrong.
No one in Obama's administration and no one in Biden's administration has been indicted, let alone convicted. So please spare us the ethics discussion and finger pointing of falsehoods, all of which have been outnumbered and out-lied by Trump, the leader of the GOP....

If you were honest yourself, you would acknowledge that I have been very careful to not compare the magnitude or pervasiveness of Trump's lies to anyone other than the consummate liar Adam Schiff.  Not Biden, not Obama.

You started out by accusing Haley of a disqualifying falsehood.   I do think Obama's signature lie and Biden's lies about his awareness of Hunter's malfeasance dwarf any lie Nikki Haley has made.

p.s.  My bad, you did not accuse Haley of a lie.   I am saying that she made a politically expedient and tactical (if dishonest) lie in support of Trump that is totally political and of much less importance than Biden or Obama's lies.   I am not comparing Obama or Biden to Trump.
Let's get the Schiff thing over and done with:

So where you get the consummate liar stuff about him is equivocal at best.

It is entirely proper in my view to despise Schiff for his lies and manipulations, even though his target, Donald Trump, is and was a threat to democracy, and unambiguously made the investigation/impeachment falsely orchestrated by Schiff so much worse.   The ends never justify the means when the means involve the subversion of law.

Jim
I'll let Schiss respond for himself at that time:
"Schiff was defiant on Monday, repeating his assertion that evidence of collusion is in “plain sight.” He said he accepts Mueller’s conclusion that he could not prove a criminal conspiracy with Russia, but said his committee’s investigative work will go on."
“For whatever reason over the last year and a half, the president has viewed me as a threat,” he told The Associated Press. “His allies in Congress have likewise come to his assistance in attacking me. It comes with the job, and I take it as a sign of effectiveness that they feel the need to go after me.”

And more recently:
"Adam Schiff Doesn't Give An Inch On Trump-Russia Allegations: "To Most Americans, That Is Collusion""
""To most Americans, that is collusion," Schiff said. "Now, whether it's proof beyond a reasonable doubt of the crime of conspiracy -- that's what Bob Mueller was talking about -- I have always distinguished between the two."
"But let me just set the record straight. This is only one of a shifting series of rationalizations and pretexts that McCarthy is using," Schiff said."
" If you read the Mueller report, he makes clear even in the first few pages of the report that he states no conclusion on whether Donald Trump and his campaign colluded with the Russians.
"But what he does reveal in his report, what we found in our investigation is that Donald Trump's campaign manager was sharing internal campaign polling data and a strategy for key battleground states with an agent of Russian intelligence, while that same unit of Russian intelligence was helping the Trump campaign, both with the hacking-and-dumping operation, as well as a social media operation to elect Donald Trump."

To most Americans, that is collusion."

Similarly, most Americans think Trump broke the law with his involvement in the Jan 6 riots.  (I don't know yet).  The opinion of "Most Americans" is a political reality, but it is meaningless as far as Jack Smith's prosecution goes.   If Smith can not win convictions, then Trump won, Trump was exonerated, and Trump will probably be the next president because of DOJ overreach.   The opinions of "most Americans" are meaningless in this context and for Schiff to play that card is disgraceful.   Jim
The only thing here that has been and is "ridiculously dangerous" is Trump's actions and behavior, both in his campaign's 2016 cooperation with Russian operatives and on January 6th. Not to mention his leaving classified documents in his bathroom and ballroom of his house...
