Specifically, I thought the quotes published in the Guardian were really biased.   All sorts of quotes that can be summed up as: "bad timing" or "nice guy, but why is he throwing away his political career when Biden is the anointed one."  Nothing indicating any support for Philips at all.  Of course the Guardian article is the first and only thing I have read about Phillips so far.  Maybe other outlets are not so cold for him?
