So, it didn't work, his name is in the story, and he now has to go back to Gaza and Hamas?
He's toast. I don't think they'd look too kindly on someone who wanted to stay in an Israeli jail.
So, to what is purpose is the story? Naw, we don't want him, you can have him, and sucks to be him.
The purpose of the story, in my opinion is multifold. While the terrorist in question obviously prefers 3 hots and a cot, it's like night vs day reporting regarding the "poor palestinians" and their "detentions" in Israeli prisons which are variously described in reporting on MSNBC and CNN as being either "unlawful" or "questionable" at best.
Of the Palestinians released, the few who have been interviewed either lie about attacking Israeli soldiers/police with knives or other weapons and are painted as some sort of wrongly imprisoned and incarcerated souls. All of 'em look healthy and well fed as opposed to the main issue of released Israeli-Americanhostages: "malnutrition."
Looking at the biased and lopsided pro-Palestinian reporting of these stories on either CNN or MSNBC, I find myself actually looking at reporting on Fox while holding my nose while doing so in order to get the Israeli side of the story.
