Trump Maintains Lead Over Biden In Polling

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"Donald Trump continues to hold an advantage over President Joe Biden as the campaign – and the former president’s criminal trial – move forward, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS. And in the coming rematch, opinions about the first term of each man vying for a second four years in the White House now appear to work in Trump’s favor, with most Americans saying that, looking back, Trump’s term as president was a success, while a broad majority says Biden’s has so far been a failure."

"Trump’s support in the poll among registered voters holds steady at 49% in a head-to-head matchup against Biden, the same as in CNN’s last national poll on the race in January, while Biden’s stands at 43%, not significantly different from January’s 45%."

Per my last check, Trump continues to lead in the critical swing state polling as well...

American Oil Tycoon Accused Of Trying To Conspire With OPEC To Inflate Prices

GOP deals with climate change by deleting it!

"As Florida copes with rising seas and record temperatures, lawmakers are going to exceptional lengths to delete many mentions of climate change from state laws in a new bill that Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law on Wednesday, according to his official X account."

"The wide-ranging law makes several changes to the state’s energy policy – in some cases deleting entire sections of state law that talk about the importance of cutting planet-warming pollution. The bill would also give preferential treatment to natural gas and ban offshore wind energy, even though there are no wind farms planned off Florida’s coast."

“What Florida is really doing is saying we’re going to deemphasize any policies that would help mitigate climate change,” said Emily Hammond, a professor of law at George Washington University.

“They don’t want to acknowledge that climate change is happening; they acknowledge they have flooding,” Gerrard said. “If it’s about moving away from fossil fuels, they don’t like it.”

American Oil Tycoon Accused Of Trying To Conspire With OPEC To Inflate Prices

"Mr. Sheffield’s communications were designed to pad Pioneer’s bottom line — as well as those of oil companies in OPEC and OPEC+ member states — at the expense of US households and businesses,” the FTC complaint said."

"Unlike with OPEC nations, US oil production is supposed to be decided by the free market, not by coordination among the major players."

"Oil price increases pose the top threat to the U.S. economy, Moody's chief analyst says"

So nobody here wants to touch the jobs number which were dismal falling short of predictions by 60,000 to 70,000 of predictions .

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Lol! There have been more jobs created under the Biden administration that has been among the highest in history:

"Comparing historical patterns 45 months out from a recession’s onset reveals Biden-era manufacturing employment to be the strongest in 72 years, and the second strongest since the end of World War II."

and:

In contrast, job loss was a defining feature of the Trump administration and the only president who was worse was Herbert Hoover:

"During Trump’s presidency, the U.S. lost a net 2.7 million jobs."

"In comparison, every president since Harry Truman (who served from 1945 to 1953) has gained jobs during his tenure. Bill Clinton, who left office in 2001, oversaw the biggest gain, at nearly 23 million, and George W. Bush, who left office in 2009, saw the smallest gain, at almost 1.4 million."

Aww, Gee poor Jack Smith's sham trial is on hold. Looks like 1 of the 4 corrupt attempts by Democrats to interfere in the 2024 election isn't going to come to fruition.

We'll let a retired judge explain it in terms even a MAGA idiot can understand:

Judge Clarence Thomas: The Victim!

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas repeatedly pushed back on his critics during remarks Friday at a judicial conference in Alabama, lamenting what he described as the “nastiness” and “lies” directed at him and calling Washington a “hideous place.”

“My wife and I, the last two or three years, it’s been – just the nastiness and the lies – it’s just incredible,” Thomas said.

"Ginni Thomas has acknowledged attending Trump’s rally before the Capitol attack. Justice Thomas has declined to recuse himself from cases this year involving the January 6 attack, including a blockbuster appeal regarding Trump’s claims of absolute immunity from criminal charges for his efforts to overturn the election results."

“I think what you’re gonna find, and especially in Washington, [is] people pride themselves in being awful,” Thomas said one point.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/10/politics/clarence-thomas-pushes-back-critics/index.html

Let me see, Ginni not only passionately participated on Jan 6th, she was also texting Trump's chief of staff about overturning the election as well as encouraging Republican congress members to do the same. In other words,  she participated in advancing the big lie and Clarence claims they never discussed it.

Hmm, I wonder what the topic of conversation was like at the Thomas dinner table on the night of January 6th.

It must have been something like this:

Clarence :"What did you do today, honey".

Ginni: Ah, we can't talk about it."

Clarence: "Oh, ok, can you pass the pudding?."

And Clarence claims people are lying about them?!...

A joke about a serial killer from a movie made in 1991? And that character is somehow funny and humorous now? How?

While it's worthwhile to see Trump's nonsense being skewered by Pakman in this current video, the Trump version of what he calls "The Silence of the Lamb" begins about the 4:06 point:
