Thanks guys for your comments. I certainly enjoyed meeting with supervisor Barger and I look forward to meeting with her staff in the future as we continue with our efforts on light pollution. 

One of the highlights for me at the event was a point wherein the astrophysicist in charge of the facility asked me to stand at a particular spot in the observatory. He explained that it was where Einstein once stood when the 100" Hooker telescope proved to him that universe was (is) in fact expanding and up until that point Einstein had been a proponent of the steady state theory of the universe. 

Another highlight was the view of messier 3, an awesome globular cluster in its own right, appearing as an open cluster like a blanket of stars being unfurled in the field of a 56mm televue plossl housed in an AstroPhysics secondary holder with a magnification of approximately 530x. Definitely a takeaway memory!...
