A home observatory is a great thing. A touch of heat (radiant heater) for the control room or a dehumdifier in the summer months is what I have used with no corrosion (dampness)problems to date.
Mine is a "roll over"roof design. This keeps the footprint down. The entire structure can be built off site if needed and delivered as a pre-built structure. Have a look:

My first Saturn.....in quite a whilePosted By Tom Tolla |
Last night seemed to be close to "as good as it gets" in CT for harvesting a few AVI's during planet season. Old trusty ToUcam Pro740, 2x barlow, C11 at f/20. Aligned and stacked with Registax / multi point align. First time using the new Registax.......sure runs a lot faster.....except when you choose multipoint :C
I have another avi @ f/30 that seems to look good. I think I'll run it through but the processing time for the multipoint is killing me ! A faster PC is not in the near future :S
I'm not use to this f/10 scope....I was ready to use my 4x Powermate....I don't think so....at least not in CT 8)

Here's another F/20 avi processed. Stack of 663 using all Registax default settings. I think a lower gain settingwill be used next time to avoid some noise. Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

Conditions in CT have been terrible this winter but I gave it a try on Sunday. It seemed to be the best CSC report this season.
