After see some gorgeous images posted of this fine jewel in the sky I knew that there was something wrong with the image that I had put together. With the help of a friend I found that I had the Red and Blue channels mixed up. ( I know have a different filter wheel that I personally put the filters into and labeled them so this would never happen to me again)
I think that the little miss-hap and the end results are startling

You can make out 8 galxies in the FOV, if you want to look for them the larger image would make it easier

Took the Lum layer about a month ago, and did it unguided. Did the color two nights ago.

I can take the images now and put them together just still need to learn how to use PhotoShop better

I had to get away from my neighbors lights and was putting a building together and decided to put my observatory 30 feet above the ground. After using it for over a year now and having 50mps winds, heavy rains, 100++ temps. All is well. I can hide here in the day or night since I have Heat and A/C and even a stereo in there. Yes refrigerator is included.
Here is what the shell looked like
Building is all Steel and concrete, even the roof is metal sheet and tube, wieghing in at about 2,700lbs. Push button control for open and close

taken in my backyard Brandon Florida, had a break in the clouds and rain and decided to try out a small scope. Ran this image all night and clouds made it so that I have to disgard some of the images. I was pleasantly suprised at the image I ended up with after the gradiantes were removed

APO correction in the BluePosted By Mark Keitel |
I was wondering the following, I have heard that one views in the Red and Green part of the spectrum better than in the Blue. It has been said that the AP's APO's are fully corrected in the Red and Green but off some in the Blue. Thus making a RGB image combination more difficult since the stars in the Blue channel will be larger looking bloated compared to the others.
I have also heard that this is not the case with the AP 10" Mak, but that is one scope at 20K on the secondary market I can not afford.
So my questions are
1) Does anyone know if this is true?
2) If it is true, will the "New" line of AP scopes correct this situation? and if so are the scopes going to be faster? as fast? or slower than the ones being produced now?
3) Would it be best to wait and hope and pray that AP makes another Mak instead of getting an APO when my name comes up?
I ask this since I figure after waiting since 2000 for a scope that it is close and want to make the right choice.
