Which Binoviewer?

Posted By Paul Atkinson
Chad,

Get the AP/Baader which are simply the best you can have. That solves all this other stuff.

TeleVue Nagler Zoom 3-6mm/Pro or Con?

Posted By Paul Atkinson
I like the EP in refractors as it maintains focus as you change focal lengths.

Very innovative but seems so small for the $380 cost it demands.

TV Oxygen III vs old Lumicon OIII

Posted By Paul Atkinson
I compared the 2" Thousand Oaks OIII, UHC, H-Beta against the same filters from Lumicon in my C14. I personally thought the Lumicon were better in almost every regard although, I'd have to admit something like this is very subjective.

I can dream

Ron,

Dream? Make it a reality. Call Markus Ludes at APM and ask him. I am sure he could make something like this. Just ask him, he can make anything. Chuckle Chuckle

CGE 1400 Purchase

Posted By Paul Atkinson
Read my review on the C14 at Cloudy Nights. I can't speak for the mount but I can for the scope. It will make an 8" seem, as Arnold says, "Puny and weak."

A little Friday Humor...You poor 4" APO guys...

Don,

Just trying to lighten the tone once in a while. As you are aware the threads can get, shall we say, a bit heated. Astronomy should be fun. Now if I can only convince the Coor's Light Beer Twins that I only wear my Star Trek uniform at the conventions.

Large Focus Wheel for Celstron SCT

Posted By Paul Atkinson
I recently got a Starlight Inst. Feather Touch for my SCT. I will never go back to focusing using the old knob again.

Nagler 9mm type 6 VS 8.8 UW

Posted By Paul Atkinson
Darren,

I had the 8.8 and got the 9T6. Guess what. I wish I still had the 8.8 Meade. It was, and is, much better in my opinion. I have been looking for another 8.8 but with a C14 it is almost 450x and conditions rarely permit using it.
