Fuji 400 color neg, one hour exposure.

Asteroid Vesta and Delta Gemini

Shot last evening about 10:30 PM EST.
Used my new Pentax dslr and my Widescan 127 f/6.5. 30 sec iso800.
Oops, Vesta is the next brightest object lower right of Delta.

M-42 with Pentax DSLR

I got another chance to shoot M-42 under very dark skies with my new istDL. This time I used a 350mm f/6.3 telephoto. This is a single 4 min exp at iso 800, noise reduction on.
I have about 6 or 7 images at various times but need to get a friend to stack them for me. I don't have software and my computer wion't hack it!!

LPR Filters

I was told to get a Hutech IDAS LPR filter to reduce the CA on a 350mm telephoto lens I use for astrophotos. However, I was a little dismayed at the steep price for even a small (37mm) filter size. Are there any alternatives that perform at least close?
