Best 1.25" focuser?

I know the Feathertouch is considered the best 2.00" focuser on the market, but if I only need a 1.25"(6"F9 reflector), what is the premium focuser in this range? Thanks, Darian Rachal

IMO, one of the best things "invented" over the last number of years, is Caller ID. I can't tell you how many times I have been busy doing something & chose not to answer, depending on who is calling. Basically, it frees one from being a slave to the phone. I assume most cell phones have this feature, as well. DR

I know that Apogee used to sell this ocular & that Discovery supplied them w/their truss tube Dobs, when they(the Dobs)were first introduced. Does Vixen still make these? If anyone is familiar with this ocular, I'd be interested in your impressions. Thanks, DR smile

I had an opportunity to observe Venus this evening around 8:00 CDT. I doubt I would have been able to find it if I had not scanned the area with my 7X42 binoculars. Although once I found it, it could be seen with the unaided eye. The 2% illuminated/56" crescent was easy to see with 7X, however it's size and thinness makes me very skeptical about people being able to see the crescent with the unaided eye. A 7X image has 49X the area of a 1X image. It's not so much the 56" that I question being discernable, it's that 2% illuminated part that is just a few seconds in width that I know can not be discerned.

Anyway, it was nice on about 38X & 100X through my Ranger. smile
