I know I know m27 again

Posted By ROBERT MOORE

Well I had no choice last night the moon was in the south southwest so I needed to shoot something to the north northeast why not M27. This is my first attempt with the the G11. The image was taken using MX-715, Orion 80 ED, Guided using PHD and a DSI ProII all on a G11, the times are listed on the right side of the image. Acquisition was done in AstroArt3 & Processing was done with AIP4WIN and Photo shop cs2.

Who's going to the Summer Star Party

Posted By ROBERT MOORE

Hi All; So who's going to the Summer Star Party this year? I'll be up there from the afternoon of the 10th till the morning of the 19th. I should be in site #62 down the hill from the wash house ( yes I asked for that site) I should be set up on the south side of the O.F. (the pool side) I'll have 2 or 3 scopes set up (one for imaging)so if your coming to the SSP just ask any of the RAC board members where I am and swing by and say hi. If you come to the camp site and the dog is out make sure you have a something to dry your self off he will lick you to death.

Hope to see you

What to shoot at SSP

Posted By ROBERT MOORE

Hi All, I need some help with a list targets to image at the Summer Star Party. I'm not looking for the same old stuff, I'll be imaging with an 8" R200SS or 80mm ED with a Starlight Xpress MX 716 on a G11 guided. I hope to get 9 targets over the 9 nights I'll be there ( i know ... Good luck ). I'm not big on Globs or opens, other then that let it rip ... And I'll do my best to shoot them.

Posted By ROBERT MOORE

Hi Folks,

Just a reminder:

The 2008 NorthEast Astro-Imaging Conference (NEAIC) is being held
on April 24th and 25th, the Thursday and Friday just prior to NEAF.
There is quite a lineup of speakers this year, including:

Richard Berry
Peter Ceravolo
Ken Crawford
Neil Fleming
R. Jay GaBany
Don Goldman
Dietmar Hager
Warren Keller
Thierry LeGault
Matt Marulla
Jim Moronski
Robert Reeves
Barry Santini
Craig Stark
Olivier Thizy
Daniel Wisehart
and others...

We also have every single significant manufacturer of astronomical CCD
cameras there, exhibiting their products, and we also expect a number of
new products to be introduced.

The event is held in a nice, new conference facility on the RCC campus,
but we are limited to 130 attendees, and seats are filling up fast, so if you
are interested in attending, be sure to check out the web page at
http://www.rocklandastronomy.com/NEAIC for more information.

Thanks,

Bob
