I'm not sure, but if you messed with your e-mail address in your account section, sometimes your account gets put on hold for a day.
Not sure if that is your problem, but could be.

Yes, I hate those too!
I think what happens is that they use a small pic to begin with. So when you click on it, it doesn't get any bigger.
I've seen people use my old ad pics for their ads. They don't open it up to get the full size, they just copy the small pic.

Once you get passed the errors that you are receiving(don't add images on first page), you will get to the upload image page after that.
