Steve, fantastic photo. I guess I can no longer use my home in CT as the reason I can't take great astro photos. I'll have to work on some other excuse. Your photo shows detail I'd expect to see from NM or AZ.

On one hand I could just say, "Who are you going to believe, Astromart political contributor Dave, or a Nobel Prize winner with degrees from MIT and Yale?" But regardless of those probabilities, just pick up an economic text and look at Keynesian Theory. It's how we eventually left the depression and is the view which tells us these economic problems are bound to happen and governmental action is the best way to correct things. I know you don't buy that point of view and probably never will. When Totalitarian Communism died with the collapse of the USSR, many people felt unbridled capitalism was the only way to go. There are no perfect economic or political systems and sometimes the government has to step in. There is a difference between wasteful spending and stimulus spending. I hope this doesn't send your blood pressure to high. In a few years we'll see who was right.

Great video, thanks for posting it. Back in the 80s I was dating a woman who played basketball at Ohio State. I won a few bucks using her in one on ones at local courts. My friends are still annoyed at me. It was almost too easy, tell a 40 year old guy a girl in her 20s can beat them in one on one. I only wish I had recorded it.

Herb, I guess you've run out of legitimate stuff to complain about with respect to the Obama's. Yeah, I know you said "If it's true", but since you have no real evidence, you are grasping at any remote possibility to put down the prez and wife. Lip reading is an inexact task, for instance, the wold "colorful" is often indistinguishable from "I love you" when lip reading. Candidly, I understand your anger, you are as disappointed with Obama as I was with Bush. If I had bitched about Bush with the preface, "If it's true", you right wingers would have been all over the speculating without proof.
