Trump hacked. Can someone please answer this question?

My take on it is that CNN and MSNBC management actually want Trump back in office because their ratings went ballistic covering all of the crazy shit he would pull.

That's why he associates Walz and whomever he doesn't like with pedophilia. The latter is Majorie Taylor Greene grade stuff and Greg would vote for her, too, if he only could...

My feelings on the matter as well. And the acceptance of the republican party in congress to virtually anything he says or does, including the nonsense that the 2020 election was "stolen", is equally disturbing.

Although it pales in comparison, I read the forums on CN and the number of trolls and the people who feed them because they can't recognize them is, in its own echo chamber, just as irritating.

The past few years here it seems like anything goes, but if you even slightly mention politics or any other of the verboten subjects on CN you will be admonished or the thread will be locked pretty quick. Never noticed any trolls there, and if there are one or two that are obnoxious I just ignore them. I particularly like the NFL thread except for the endless posts about the Bears or Packers.

Besides, other than this political forum, if you post or ask a question in any of the astronomy forums, or any of the other forums on AM you'll be waiting a long time for a response or an answer. The other forums here died a long time ago and doubt they are coming back. If you want to talk astronomy there is little else to choose from besides CN.

True, we don't have any moderators on the AM forums and haven't for a long time. My beef is not so much with the CN moderators, and some of their forums have multiple moderators which can make it a crapshoot on who to contact, but the trolls I'm referring to commonly start threads with what's the best fill in the blank (eyepiece, reflector, refractor, mount, mirror, etc) and frequently post in multiple forums and supposedly have multiple pieces of equipment they're supposedly inquiring about, frequently divert to anything but their topic, i.e when talking reflectors they start a separate discussion about refractors and vice versa in the same thread and do it repetitively.

I've called a few out now and then for pulling this stuff and one amateur even PMed me and told not to bother with these guys as they're a bunch of sharks (his words) just hunting for a gullible responses to get their jollies.

The latest from the his lips to your ears:

"Trump continues personal attacks against Harris: ‘I’m a better looking person"

More memory impairment:

“What happened to Biden? I was running against Biden and now I’m running against someone else,” Trump said. “I said, who am I running against, Harris? I said, ‘Who the hell is Harris?"

Just so you know, that is a little left over tag from when I was a mod/admin over there for a few years.

Just curious, Greg:  How many times did you actually step in and "moderate"?

My favorite examples of CN "moderation":

1. I post a topic on the science and space exploration forum regarding NASA's and the government's plans to investigate UFO sightings and it gets several replies. A "moderator" deletes the entire thread and PMs me and says this forum is about science and space exploration! Not UFOs! I then proceed to use the search function specific to the forum and find more than 20 past threads on UFOs! So I send that info to the "moderator" and ask him why those were not deleted. Crickets. (The dummy could have simply moved the thread to the off topic forum if he didn't think they were applicable in science and space exploration instead of deleting the entire thread but he couldn't even think to do that.

2. I posted the same light pollution petition on the CN light pollution forum that I had posted here and of which bore fruit in helping to reduce light pollution. A CN "moderator" deletes the thread and says we can't have any petitions posted as it can get too political. I then send him the following quote of the sentence appearing adjacent to the forum header: "While CN does not typically allow politics, this is one forum in which the discussion of legislation dealing with this matter is permitted."
Crickets...

H.R. McMaster won't tell you who to vote for and he won't say who he is voting for but anyone still thinking Trump is their guy should watch this interview from CBS Sunday Morning

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Unfortunately, I don't find this guy much different from others in the GOP, either in or out of office, who won't speak up and take a stand against Trump.
It's the same story over and over again, how many times do have to hear it?
I think Bolton's about the only guy who has had the balls to do it.  Anyone else?...

I get your point but I'm still frustrated with people like McMaster who will criticize Trump but won't take a stand against him. Bill Barr, for example, said Trump shouldn't be anywhere near the oval office but says he'll vote for him.The cognitive disconnect is obvious and sickening but this is what these guys do...
