Trump Names Abomination To Direct FBI

OMG! A wild eyed MAGA Whacko for yet another critical position! Again!

"Patel was viewed as a Trump loyalist and was almost installed as then-CIA Director Gina Haspel’s deputy until she threatened to resign over the move, Axios reported at the time."

"His short time at the Pentagon earned scrutiny from the now-disbanded Jan. 6 committee, asking him to sit for an interview after writing, “there is substantial reason to believe that you have additional documents and information relevant to understanding the role played by the Department of Defense and the White House in preparing for and responding to the attack on the U.S. Capitol, as well as documents and information related to your personal involvement in planning for events on Jan. 6 and the peaceful transfer of power.”

"Patel is also the author of a children’s book, “The Plot Against The King,” that advertises itself as telling the story behind “one of our nation’s biggest injustices.”
"The book portrays Patel as a wizard while Trump is clearly the king, facing threats from “Hillary Queenton” while others such as Nunes and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) make appearances."

"Patel currently sits on the board of the company that oversees Trump’s social media site."

Trump Names Abomination To Direct FBI

"Former National Security Advisor John Bolton compared Kash Patel, President-elect Trump’s nomination for head of FBI, to one of the USSR’s most feared secret police chiefs, Lavrentiy Beria."

“Trump has nominated Kash Patel to be his Lavrenty Beria,” Bolton said during an appearance on NBC News’ “Meet The Press” on Sunday. “Fortunately, the FBI is not the NKVD. The Senate should reject this nomination 100-0.”

"NKVD refers to the interior ministry and secret police of the Soviet Union, which was in place from 1934 to 1946."

Trump also selected Kash Patel because he has pledged total allegiance and obedience in a sacred pledge to his Führer...

The high command is jumping on the bandwagon:   "Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) said he encouraged President-elect Trump to bring Kash Patel “to the table” after the incoming president nominated him to serve as head of the FBI."
"During an appearance on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” Hagerty said Patel “represents the type of change that we need to see in the FBI.”

BlackRock, State Street, Vanguard Sued by Republican States Over Climate Accords

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"Republicans have long explored using US antitrust laws to target alleged collusion among large fund managers to advance climate-related goals."

"Wednesday's complaint filed in the federal court in Tyler, Texas, is among the highest profile lawsuits targeting efforts to promote environmental, social, and governance goals or ESG."

Yup, we can only have climate polluting coal and oil and if Texas didn't have wind and solar their "independent" energy grid would have gone kaput...

California Farms Brace For Deportations

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"About half of the farmworkers in California are undocumented immigrants, according to research from UC Merced."

"the current workforce in the state is barely covering their (Farmers) needs"

“If we have labor shortages, and we can’t get our crops picked and sent to market, it could have an impact at the grocery shelves,” the farmer said. “There could be less fruits or vegetables in the produce area and it could drive prices higher.”

"Research from UC Merced and the Federal Labor Department shows about half of the estimated 162,000 farmworkers in California are undocumented. Although ICE raids are not uncommon they say a massive deportation this time would have deeper consequences."

“People are not having kids, and people are aging. There won’t be enough people answering the workforce (for) pandemics, bird flu, warming climate, floods disasters,” said Edward Flores, a sociology professor at UC Merced, said."

From the article:

Last September, Gov. Gavin Newsom signed California Assembly Bill 1287 into law, which includes a $20 per hour minimum wage for fast-food workers and a fast-food regulatory council which has the authority to raise the industry’s minimum wage annually. But between last fall and January, California fast-food restaurants cut about 9,500 jobs, representing a 1.3 percent change from September 2023. Total private employment in California declined just 0.2 percent during the same period, which makes it tempting to conclude that many of those lost fast-food jobs resulted from the higher labor costs employers would need to pay.
More fast-food job losses are coming as the new minimum wage took effect earlier this month. This includes losses at Pizza Hut and Round Table Pizza which are in the process of firing nearly 1,300 delivery drivers. El Pollo Loco and Jack in the Box announced that they will speed up the use of robotics, including robots that make salsa and cook fried foods.

Fast food prices are up since the law took effect on April 1. In less than one month, Wendy’s increased prices by 8 percent, Chipotle’s prices have increased by 7.5 percent, and Starbucks prices are up by 7 percent. McDonald's has announced it will be raising prices, and many other fast-food franchises have announced hiring freezes.

California now has the highest-priced fast food in the country, but there is an obvious limit to how much further prices can climb. “I can’t charge $20 for Happy Meals,” noted Scott Rodrick, a Northern California McDonald’s franchisee.
The study I've cited is far more recent and comprehensive than the one you've cherry picked and the latter factors in the effects of inflation earlier in the year.

That said, while I don't frequent fast food restaurants, the Panda Express I drive thru from time to time has a help wanted join our team sign at the window and a new Wendy's is opening nearby as well and they'll be interviewing for help soon. Not to mention that a lot of the employees tend to be high school and college kids that are there as a after-school job and move on as their education progresses. Those that really benefit from the minimum wage increase are low income wage earners and there's no shortage of them...

I just wonder if any moronic and stupid communists anywhere can comprehend that?

What do you think communist?  shocked
As if the Trump "JD" Putin supporting commie gives a hoot about fast food workers in California, not that he cares about the truth either, that facts are:

"A study from the University of California Berkeley’s Institute for Research on Labor and Employment found that a California state law raised the minimum wage for fast food workers did not lead to large job loses or price hikes."

"The study also suggested that the increase in wages would have positive knock-on effects for restaurants and franchise owners."

"The study closest to ours found that $15 minimum wages in California and New York increased fast-food wages and did not negatively affect fast food employment, while substantially reducing hiring and employee retention costs," the study read."

"The chief executive of the company behind Ikea furniture stores says tariffs make it more difficult to keep its prices low, joining a growing chorus of business leaders in warning of a potential hit to people’s wallets from Donald Trump’s planned import levies."

“In general, we don’t believe tariffs will support international companies and international trade. At the end of the day, that risks ending up on the bills of customers,” Jesper Brodin, Ingka Group CEO, told CNN Wednesday when asked about Trump’s tariffs."

“Tariffs make it more difficult for us to maintain the low prices and be affordable for many people, which in the end is our goal,” he added. “We have never experienced a period of benefit when we had high tariffs,” he said, referring both to Ikea and the global economy. “But it’s beyond our control. We will need to understand and adapt."

I gotta disagree with you on this one: It'll be blame on Biden or something or someone else. MAGA types virtually never fess up to being remorseful or wrong about anything...
