Real life happy day yesterday Off Topic

Thanks everyone. That piece, which I really like, uses a delay with one repeat(I think). As a amateur musician myself I envy his dedication and his abilityto play in time with those repeated notes with such feeling. Since Covid we haven’t had a real one on one conversation about music as he’s been stuck in Canada, but at least he’s been safe. Phone calls and FaceTime just don’t cut it. Hopefully they will be able to come stay with us this summer if all goes well.

Colorado City, Texas mayor resigns after Facebook rant.

“Colorado City mayor Tom Boyd told the 4,000 or so of his fellow citizens in his town that he was “sick and tired of people looking for a damn handout” and blamed “a socialist government” for the dire situation.

“No one owes you or your family anything; nor is it the local government’s responsibility to support you during trying times like this! Sink or swim, it’s your choice! The City and County, along with power providers or any other service owes you NOTHING!,” Boyd continued in the career-ending rant he posted on a local community Facebook group.”

Bruce Castor’s meanderings at the start of the impeachment trial

Apt metaphor of D J Trump's political career. I sure could be wrong, but I don't think getting into a fight with Mitch McConnell is a good idea.

It's actually astonishing that anyone in the Republican party would want Trump to continue to dictate anything.
I know, it's laughable. How the hell are Cruz, Hawley, or Rubio going to be presidential contenders in 2024 with DJT in the primary picture? Just like many of the voters the GOP draws, these guys voted against their best interests in the impeachment trial. At least Nikki Haley is breaking with him.

You mean all this time Clinton and wasn’t wasn’t really impeached? The right has been playing that fact for over twenty years now, but according to Greg we wasn’t impeached. Glad that’s settled. Call the media. Breaking news right here in astromartland.

Ted Cruz vacations in Cancun while his state freezes in the dark...

Posted By Jim Moscheck

This exchange between James and Richard are why this place is such an f’ing waste of time. I realize the astromart forums are basically dead, except this one, and there isn’t much traffic with folks reading them, but if I was a new potential reader/poster and read some of the voluminously BS screeds by Richard and his standard proverbial indignation to everything that’s not, well, him would make me turn around and avoid this place like the plague. That said, his little vacation did little to calm him down or help him be a little more civil. He’s as much as he always has was. Why am I not surprised?

Too bad we don’t have a lawyer around here to settle the matter. My take is the House of Representatives draft the articles of Impeachment, thus he is impeached. The Senator has the trial to find if he’s guilty or not. Pretty clear cut to me. Clinton and Trump x 2 have been impeached. Nixon resigned before the Articles of Impeachment were taken to the Senate.

I know that, was just giving a dig to our resident lawyer to jump in, not that Greg would believe him anyway.

Maybe Greg should read what you posted and learn something. Instead we get his opinion of impeachment as fact.
