A trade deficit is not a subsidy.

And, while I am here,  the 250% dairy Tariff is a marginal tariff which only kicks in if the US exceeds a negotiated, agreed-upon limit of dairy products into Canada.  Below that level?  No tariff...Free trade.

Stop with the Trump Derangement Syndrome, will ya!? I mean with the fine upstanding Republican representative who was advancing this piece of legislation:

"The legislation would classify “Trump derangement syndrome” as a mental illness in the state statute, ostensibly meant as a dig at President Donald Trump’s critics."

BUT, "Republican behind ‘Trump derangement syndrome’ bill resigns after criminal charge"

"Minnesota state Sen. Justin Eichorn was arrested on charges of trying to meet up with an officer who posed as a 17-year-old girl."

I guess we know who has the "derangement" syndrome but, he is innocent until proven guilty:' shocked

If there was a tariff on right-wing stupid, we would have a balanced budget...

Stock markets jumps 600 point today on bets that Trump won't actually go through with his economic plans for his "beautiful" tariffs:

https://www.cnbc.com/2025/03/23/stock-market-today-live-updates-.html

In other breaking news, Faux News game show host "Pete" Hegseth ineptly/insanely sent the actual war plans for the last week's attack on Yemen to the editor of the Atlantic who had fortunately had the cognitive ability to know not to go public with them as they could have endangered American military personnel:

https://www.rawstory.com/trump-houthi/

Can you imagine what vitriol we'd be reading from the screamer if that happened during the Biden administration...

Trump’s national security adviser added a journalist to text chat on highly sensitive Yemen strike plans

However, it was confirmed by Hegseth and others in the cabinet, that It was NOT a "classified war briefing".

There was no text that included "secret plans" to attack Yemen as the headlines at ABC and other outlets indicated.

You are regurgitating the claim that Jeffrey Goldstein is making.

As Hegseth clearly stated, NO texting of specific War Plans was made, plain and simple as that.

They did not discuss any classified information.

Jeffrey Goldberg has been proven to be a liar before.

In fact the family members of one of the Servicemen killed in Afghanistan, which was caused by Lloyd Austin's incompetence that got 13 American military members killed by the Taliban, was outraged that Jeffrey Goldberg lied about Vanessa Guillen.

The lawyer for the fallen soldier said that Jeffrey Goldberg flat out LIED about Trump's administration.

She stated this about Goldberg:

Natalie Khawam, an attorney for the Guillen family, accused the Atlantic editor of lying in the piece.

“After having dealt with hundreds of reporters in my legal career, this is unfortunately the first time I have to go on record and call out Jeffrey Goldberg@the Atlantic: not only did he misrepresent our conversation but he (Goldberg) outright LIED in HIS sensational story,” Khawam wrote on X.

“More importantly, he used and exploited my clients, and Vanessa Guillen’s murder … for cheap political gain,” she added.

Khawam called the “timing” of Goldberg’s report “quite suspicious.”

“[T]his supposed conversation that Trump had would have occurred over 4 years ago!” the attorney noted. “Why a story about it now?!”

“As everyone knows, not only did Trump support our military, he also invited my clients to the Oval Office and supported the I Am Vanessa Guillen bill too,” Khawam continued. “I’m grateful we were successful in getting bipartisan support of the I Am Vanessa Guillen Act, and because of everyone’s hard work and efforts our service members now have more protections and rights while serving our country.”

Jeffrey Goldberg is a proven lying sleazebucket.  No wonder you would believe his BS.  How does the old saying go... birds of a feather....... ??    smile
“Dear Sweet Baby Jesus,” said one former senior US official, reacting to the reporting."

“No,” another said, flatly, when asked if there was any analogous use of the app during the Biden administration."

"Signal is an encrypted messaging app that is popular around the world, including among journalists and government officials. Biden administration officials also routinely used it to discuss logistical planning for meetings and at times to communicate with foreign counterparts."

PS: Nobody at today's senate intel committee hearing on all of this stated Jeffrey Goldberg lied about anything. But listening to "Tulsi" Gabbard and John Ratcliffe, anybody could see and hear who was doing the lying...

It was THAT faux news game show host all along, PETE!

"Top intel officials shift responsibility on to Hegseth for sending potentially classified info to Yemen strike group chat"

"... Hegseth’s texts, which reportedly included “operational details of forthcoming strikes on Yemen, including information about targets, weapons the U.S. would be deploying, and attack sequencing,” have drawn the most attention."

"Multiple current and former defense officials have said that any discussion of the timing, targets or weapons systems to be used in an attack is always classified — because of the potential risk to US service members lives if those plans are revealed prematurely."

"Signal, the encrypted messaging platform that the officials were using, is a commercial app that is not approved for classified information."

"The Atlantic reported that Hegseth sent “precise information about weapons packages, targets, and timing.”

“I think the most accountable, or the most guilty person is the secretary of defense because he put in all the highly classified information,” Republican Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the House Armed Services Committee and former Air Force Brigadier General, told CNN."

And remember, the only one who backs PETE 100 PERCENT IS THE SCREAMER! wink

How true!

That said, Rubio actually had the integrity to say this today: "‘Someone made a big mistake’ with Jeffrey Goldberg invite to Signal chat."

Conversely, he also added, "....but that none of the information on there at any point threatened the operation of the lives of our servicemen,”

https://thehill.com/policy/international/5215841-rubio-goldberg-invite-signal/

That last statement is highly equivocal at best given the very high probability that if the Houthis had been alerted to the incoming strikes if Goldberg didn't hold off and published the information at the time, they could have had their anti-aircraft missile batteries coordinated to repel the attack and the Houthi leadership targeted in the attack could have escaped unharmed to live to fight another day...

BTW, Karolyn Leavitt emailed Goldberg last night suggesting he shouldn't post the messages he got on the group chat but since the Trump team insisted they weren't classified, he decided to do so!....

PS: On the thread: "GOP lawmakers press for investigations of Trump Cabinet group chat"

"Republican senators are calling for the Trump administration and congressional committees to investigate the disclosure of sensitive national security information over Signal, a commercial app, fearing the controversy could have major political consequences."

"Senate Armed Services Committee Chair Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) said Tuesday that his committee will investigate the matter but also called on the Defense Department’s inspector general to launch a probe."

“We’ll certainly be asking the IG to look into it,” Wicker told The Hill of the incident, which has sparked concerns among Republicans and Democrats over the frequency with which senior Trump officials are using Signal to hold sensitive conversations."

"Senators say the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is chaired by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), will also investigate the security lapse, according to senators on the panel."

"Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) said if senior officials in the Biden administration had made a similar mistake, Republicans in Congress would be blowing their tops."

This is just more hysterics from the left because the Democrats have ZERO to offer to the country and so they want to keep this story going as a diversion to the facts of the Democrat Party's miserable and horrid governance and the terrible economy which Biden and the Democrat party has caused.

There will be an investigation into what happened, but no soldiers or sailors were killed, injured, or even had a bruise.

The absurd hype is once again and as usual OVER the top and only appeals to the dumbest among us.

Not one warfighter was put at risk at all.

The Houthis didn't have a clue as to the mission, and that is why 59 enemy terrorists were killed in this very successful military operation.

All the left has is "what IF this" and "what IF that".

The previous administration got 13 American soldiers killed in the most botched military withdrawal on planet Earth.

The only ones who will continue to focus on this utterly successful military mission will be those who are brainwashed by the left and all the leftists and RINOs here on this forum of leftist fools.

Next!   smile
"They discussed No War Plans."  "They did not put anyone at risk."

Really?! Ask the pilots who flew the F18s in the mission as well as those who have flown those aircraft as reporters have done and they'll tell you they're pissed beyond belief that it leaked and could have gotten them killed...
