Obviously, he is a conservative. I've trained him to growl at the word "Liberal"
Is he a Vostochno Evropejskaya Ovcharka?  If so, I expect he's a commie, not a conservative!

So he is a Malinois!  (A long haired one though...)

Probably still a commie.  Most dogs are!

Tervuren?  I had no idea these breeds existed.  Very cool.

And I just skimmed the long thread.  If Susan Collins' speech has already been discussed, I apologize for bringing it up again.  In my opinion, this was great speech.  Senator Collins displayed the depth of thoughtful intelligence we desperately need in our senators and representatives.  Predictably, she is now being flamed as a traitor to her gender and the nation.  The response is so sad, with the left hating her and the right, who have hated her so often, loving her now...

I'd be honored to have someone as thoughtful as Susan Collins as my senator.   If you have not watched the speech, or read the transcript, please do:

Take your time thru the threads on Brett. Most senators can give a good speech now and then. Whatever your thoughts and those of Collins on him and his accuser, his own speech, penned in his own hand, with the intro devoted to attributing his troubles to a "hit" from the Clintons, as "revenge" for the 2016 election, is so asinine that it ought to destroy any credibility in what follows in his premeditated rant which he subsequently apologized for in the WSJ.
Hi Rod:

Yes, it's a bit too late for white water - did have a great rafting and kayaking season though!

I think the tone of Kavanaugh's testimony was appropriate, I'd be angry too if I was wrongfully accused of drunken molestation, indecent exposure and then orchestrating gang rape at least ten times!  I also, like Senator Collins, found Dr. Ford's testimony to be credible.  If Kavanaugh lied about everything, then I hope he is exposed.  Like Collins, I think this is unlikely.

I'm curious as to your view of his opinion that a sitting president can't be subpoenaed or otherwise "burdened" with either criminal or civil proceedings. I hadn't heard that one before and I can see why Trump put him on top of his list...
Hi Rod:

Sorry, I amended my post while you were posting.  I hate this new format...

Supreme Court Justices have come back to disappoint the president who appointed them, many times.  We'll have to see how this plays out.
