Whats going on with my LX200?

Is it possible for a loose connection to introduce tracking errors like this? I found a connection that had broke apart. If it was losing contact for just milliseconds could it behave like this or would it just reboot? Thanks for your thoughts!
I have repaired and await tonight to see if it helped. 8)
