Bush: Amazing Progress In Iraq!

I have to wonder what would happen to the 20% that wants us there if we left. What I really wonder is how anyone came up with that number.

Age and the ability to see in the dark

While this won't answer your question concerning how much acuity you have lost this article answers some questions as to how vision works. I thought it was interesting because I fiddle around with image intensified technology.

Eq-2 for 127 Mak?

It's a bit shaky when focusing but otherwise not bad, certainly portable.

Astroscan fan club out there?

Posted By Harry Aiello
I had a problem pointing mine so I did this to it. I use a zoom EP in it most of the time. A Nagler would probably be nice but I don't have some.

What do I need for a limiting magnitude

Posted By Harry Aiello
I think the clear dark sky clock is a little optimistic sometimes and you need a dark sky for M51. If it really is a mag 5 sky you should be able to see it and if it is brighter you need more power to darken the sky which makes everything hard to find.
In a slightly darker sky than Mag 5 I get a nice view in a 20 x 85 binocular and it is seeable in (of all things) an Astroscan.
A uhc filter will not help. I don't know of a filter that will.

What are the challenges for making fast APO refrac

A nice 600mm F2 lens would be a foot in diameter and two feet long. It would weigh about as much as your riding lawn mower. Well, maybe not that much but you'll need a good tripod.

Another Mundane Finder Question

Posted By Harry Aiello
I think Stellarvue (an Astromart sponsor) has such a finder. There are probably others.
