Luckily, Trump has been completely open and honest with the American people, and we can believe everything unequivocally that comes out of the WH. On the other hand, I'm not sure he would ever admit to something like this if he had to since I'm sure he considers it a sign of weakness. I have a hard time believing that Trump is choosing the selfless and responsible course of action for the first time in his life for no reason.

Jim, I think this is pretty good advice from Trump. This has pretty much been my attitude since this whole thing began. I previously mentioned the birthday party I attended in April. Since then I've been to a graduation, outdoor wedding, anniversary party, square dance activities, and lately have been attending volleyball games. Temperatures are taken before entering the gym for volleyball. Most people wear masks to enter but remove them once inside, and we sit in the bleachers in a normal manner.

All the stores are required to have signs about wearing masks and most(but not all) people do wear them(I'll wear one in but remove it at times) in grocery stores but in auto parts, bars, small businesses, etc., it's ignored a great deal. When I see people maintaining a distance between themselves and others, it strikes me as a bit odd.

The point is that his message is entirely tone-deaf when the reality is almost no one else has that kind of security to fall back on if they do get sick. No one will be able to make a false triumphant strong-man return after only 3 days of this illness. Therefore he's got a $1.6 Million CREDIT above and beyond any other President who has ever occupied the office.
