Texas Gov Abbott Goes Full On Stupid...

Posted By Jim Moscheck

I was picking up produce today and I was talking to two of the guys in the warehouse who I know are admirers of Trump and one flat out told me he's not going to take the vaccine as it's all a scam. The other said he'd probably take it to appease his wife so she can visit her Mom, but he more of less doesn't think the virus is real or as contagious as they make it out to be. I felt like saying tell that to my best friend in Arizona who died of Covid19 in November, but I held my words. I just wanted to see where they were at and know that there are millions out there just like them.

Good news. My friend is an ER doc and I texted him last night and he and his wife, who is a nurse, both had the Pfizer vaccine and he told me not to worry. I've done some research and all signs of the messenger RNA point to them being a modern medical breakthrough in vaccines and maybe even other medical applications.

Well, got my first dose of the Moderna vaccine a little while ago. No wait, took me right in, screened my health, got the shot, waited 15 minutes, and out of there in 25 minutes. My wife just got an appointment to get the vaccine tomorrow at the same place. They weren’t supposed to go to age 50 to 65 for two weeks!

Just saw that President Biden procured 100 million more doses of the J and J vaccine made by Merck and he says we are on track to inoculate everyone who wants it by the end of May. That is just astounding. I get my second dose in 29 days and two weeks after that I am going to hug and kiss my grandchildren to no end.

Hopefully, the documentation I have will allow me to not have any problems with travel restrictions, if there are any.☺️
That’s great Darian.

The Moderna shot kicked my ass for a day. I haven't been feeling too well this week, first time I've felt sick since last February when I unknowingly had a very mild case of Covid. Tested positive for the antibodies last June and December. Anyways, I have had a stomach thing going on since last Sunday, but didn't have a fever or any breathing problems so they gave me the shot. Had a low grade fever and chills yesterday, but had a good night sleep last night and feel much better today. Was told by my doctor friend that if you've had the virus before the RNA vaccines are a little tougher to deal with. No kidding. Also have heard the second dose is worse. My wife got the Johnson and Johnson vaccine yesterday. One and done.

Thanks Darian, I’m feeling much better yesterday and especially today. My arm is still a bit sore, though.

Gas Prices?

Would anyone care to speculate on what occurred to drive up the price?ermm
Oil companies need little excuse to raise prices. I don't know much, but I'll bet it's related to the Texas storm problems of a few weeks ago. I'm sure some lines froze at a refinery somewhere which is as good a reason as any to affect production.

That said, I'm sure the consensus will be it's obviously Biden's fault.
