I just love this area of the sky... with the two clusters that are so obviously different in color and distance. It makes for an interesting view at the eyepiece, and a nice target for imaging. This image was taken last night. I used the values from the RGB Weight Calculator software to get the G2V star colors. I think it turned out pretty nice.

The wind was HOWLING last night, but the G-11 was rock solid!

Cheers,
Tyler

Hi all,

Another image from the night I did Gassendi. The rilles around the ruined crater Prinz looked cool through the ep so I shot some videos of it. The little rilles look like minature versions of Schroeters valley, I won't tell you what my Wife thought they looked like :S

LPOD's back up--Doppelmayer image

Posted By Paul Maxson

Mike,

I saw that today. Very nice image!! Chuck seems to find needles in haystacks when it comes to lunar images! I sent my Boussingault image to him. We'll see if he sees it worthy of publishing. grin

Just to give a heads up about LPOD being back to posting new images. Chuck put up my image of Doppelmayer, cool thing is there is a previously unknown dome there!!
Its obvious to me now but it totally missed my eye before!

THANKS
