Why not issue a video as proof of life instead of a written statement?...

If it's AOC or Newsom, I won't be voting...
The current frontrunner for the GOP--"JD" isn't any better in that regard except you probably won't see him repeating the same BS HAMAS topic point of genocide in Gaza which is total HS and repeated by the likes of Bernie Sanders who has been duped into believing it along with the rest of the so-called progressives...

Since Mitch is unavailable to vote in the senate, two Republican senators hold the fate of Todd Blanche's appoint to AG. My guess is Cassidy folds and votes for him while Murkowski doesn't so a tie ensues which is broken by "JD" and Blanche proceeds in his role as the newly annointed personal AG of Trump.
Anybody see it differently?

I see Dr Cassidy folded as I thought he would since he's the political hack that he's always been and that, according to CNN, clears the path for Blanche. Same story for his previous actions with Trump even when Trump dumped on him and cost him his seat in the senate.   So much for that "physician"...

Oh, I see Cassidy's "reasoning" is that Blanche should be appointed AG because, if not, Trump would only nominate someone worse! Er, ah, we've already had Pam Bondi so how much worse could it be? I think Blanche is just a smarter, male version of Bondi, otherwise they're the same with the same allegiance to Trump and not to the American people which is what the AG position is supposed to be about in the first place...
PS: I hope the next Democratic president appoints their own version of their AG and not another feckless version of Garland...the king of fleckless.

Speaking of AGs, and Garland in particular, it's interesting to note what Hunter had to say about him:

"The single greatest mistake of my father's administration was the leadership of Merrick Garland," Hunter Biden said in a clip shared on X."

"Biden said Garland should have opened what he described as a "100% legitimate investigation" into Trump's actions following the 2020 election."

"He pointed to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and argued there was sufficient information to pursue an investigation."

"He also questioned why the classified documents case against Trump was brought in Florida rather than Washington, D.C."

"And then they bring the documents case in Florida, rather than in D.C. I mean, I don't get it. I absolutely don't get it," Hunter Biden said."

Of course, he's referring to judge Aileen MAGA Cannon in Florida in the documents case...

Corporations Post Boosted Profits---Based Upon Tariff Refunds---Where's Ours?

"Apple got an estimated $2.2 billion tariff refund last quarter. Amazon got $600 million. Nike got $300 million. But American consumers who paid higher prices as President Donald Trump's tariffs filtered through the economy are getting almost nothing back."

"In total, the government is on the hook to refund hundreds of thousands of importers a total of around $166 billion. A little more than half of that has already been paid out, according to a Customs and Border Protection court filing."

"The levies cost households an estimated $1,000 on average last year, according to the Tax Foundation."

Anybody gonna answer the question of "Where's Ours?"

I guess it's like the question of who's gonna pay for the wall...

If you love tariffs, not to worry:

"Bessent said U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer will implement “the same level of tariffs, and I would expect that our 2026 tariff income is going to be roughly what it was in ’25.”

“But with the Section 301 tariffs, I am confident that we will be back to … the same level if not higher of tariff income for last year,...”
