That exercise is on my webpage.

Just click the link on the "Image Processing Exercise" and use it to your heart's content!

Thanks!

I'm looking for a web page that was discussed in a thread here a few months back. Somebody had provided a copy of a Jupiter picture and asked everybody to process it as well as they could. The results were then posted on a web site. It was amazing to see how much different the results were.

At any rate, I need to look at that page so I can extract some examples for a talk I am giving. And I have no idea on what to search for. (I've tried.)

Anybody able to point me in the right direction?

Alex

Ed,

A very nice image!! I really think the red filter makes a huge difference in lunar imaging, at least it has for me and your images really show well too.

JUPITER meets ED80...

Ivan,

That's an awesome image of Jupiter. I've had some really good luck with planetary imaging with my ED100, so I'm not surprised the ED80 performs well too.

Ed,

Nice image. The rille can be imaged with an 8" scope, but you need a good combination of seeing and light angle. Here is an image I made with my C8 last year I think that shows the rille.

Ganymede detail

Posted By Paul Maxson

Alan,

Not to be the Devil's Advocate, but is the Ganymede detail in Starry Night realtime, I mean, does the detail on Starry Night's Ganymede change with time?

That would really make that a powerful program!

Thanks!

Hires Rupes Recta "Straight Wall"

Posted By Paul Maxson

Wes,

Beautiful image!! I've noticed the effect of the small craters looking almost dome-like as well. First time I saw that I thought it was because of bad seeing or collimation in my scope. I guess the effect is real. It's not often we see the wall from this light angle.

Thanks!!
