How could anyone live in such a place? Regardless of what you think about nutrition, and Happy Meals specifically, do you really want the government dictating what you should eat or how to raise your children? Do you want your government creating laws that say you can't give a toy away with a meal? Is that how they should be spending their time? Is this how the people of SF want to live? Every step of their lives dictated to them? Are they brain-dead to the point they need a helicopter government hovering over them everyday, making sure they are making the "right" decisions? Are they uber-lazy people and just don't want to have to make choices and feel the govenment should be doing that for them?

I'm from California but I just don't get how we can have such a place so alien from the rest of the country. What happened in SF? What happened to bring all these sorts of people to this one place in our country?

I know I asked a bunch of rhetorical questions but it truly does boggle my mind what goes on in California, and more specifically SF. Probably the most beautiful state with the most to offer in the country, yet the most unusual people habitate it. Of course I understand not all the people there are like that but most are, thus you have the trends in California you do. If these sorts of people were in a minority there you wouldn't be seeing California self-destruct before our very eyes.

"San Francisco's board of supervisors has voted, by a veto-proof margin, to ban most of McDonald's Happy Meals as they are now served in the restaurants.

The measure will make San Francisco the first major city in the country to forbid restaurants from offering a free toy with meals that contain more than set levels of calories, sugar and fat.

Just after the vote, McDonald's spokeswoman Danya Proud said, "We are extremely disappointed with today's decision. It's not what our customers want, nor is it something they asked for."

What's this??? Liberals plotting and planning to avoid paying their fair share of taxes? Taxes that were desparately needed, according to the CBO, to keep Obamacare revenue-neutral? So the filty rich execs at AARP are going to avoid paying their fair share of health care taxes while the little guy working for them gets the shaft? How compassionate of them! 8O
