Tarantula Nebula

Posted By Greg Bradley

Grabbed this one tonight mostly between watching the Narnia DVD! Oh the joys of having a permanent setup!

RCOS 12.5 inch, ST2000XM,NJP mount LRGB 30 10 10 10.

I'll be shooting some Halpha of this one as well.

This is one massive nebula.

Omega Nebula

Posted By Greg Bradley

Got the Omega Nebula at the end of the night last night.
RCOS 12.5 inch, SBig 2000XM Astronomik UHC filter 20 RGB 10 10 10 at -20C. Tak NJP mount.

I think I like this UHC filter better than the Halpha filter. It lets through Hbeta as well as Halpha and brings out more detail.

Lagoon Nebula

Posted By Greg Bradley

Here is another one.

This time with an RCOS 12.5 inch (I did 2 nights with the FS152 and 2 nights with the RCOS).

I mainly imaged galaxies with the RCOS but clearly I need to image more of the nebulas at the moment.

LRGB 25:10:20:10

The Sculptor Galaxy

Posted By Greg Bradley

Here is the Sculptor Galaxy. A large Southern Galaxy. I had to stay up late for this one as it isn't really up enough to image until about 4am. So its a race to get it before dawn and took 2 days.

RCOS 12.5, ST2000XM camera LRGB 40 20 20 20.
