I have been a gun person for all of my adult life. I have also been against Big Brother for all my remembered life. I am of the opinion that most of the population has given very little thought to liberty. All of the gun people I know detest over grown government, which is one reason proponents of BIG government don't like people like me, even when they whine about one aspect; such as monitoring everyone. Big government supporters are fine with govt. abuse that they think doesn't affect them. IRS, Prism, data mining, EPA abuse, Govt. rules and regs enforced by extortion, handing arms over to our enemies, Federal refusal to enforce laws they don't like. Most of these things don't seem to bother the folks who like big govt, but they all bother the gun folks I know.
