Jim,

Really nice!! I keep thinking about the "what-ifs" grin

I got the Mewlon setup hoping the sky stays clear for a moon test for first light and then Mars tomorrow morning **fingers crossed!!**

Mars on the 14th from N. Alabama

John,

Excellent image!! I'm still trying to figure out how some get nice detail in the SPC as well. Mine also tend to look like a white dot.

Mars on August 19, 2005

Robert,

That was with the Toucam. For some reason the LU images didn't turn out very sharp. It might have been seeing or my eyes. grin

Some Lu075M Lunar pics

Mike,

Just out of curiousity, what sort of gain settings are you using for your lunar images. I typically have my gain set to 12 for planetary, but haven't tried lunar yet with my Lum.

Hi all,

I got a chance to image the moon last night in pretty horrid seeing (3-4/10) so I used my new 2.5 X's powermate.
If it was'nt for the Baader 685nm IR passband filter I probably would have deleted all the seq files! Anyhow this is a much better 1st light for the Lu75M, when I was in Mexico I made the mistake of playing with the brightness/gamma/contrast levels instead of just leaving them at factory settings, this time I just played with the exposure and gain like Paolo recommended. So, 18" Starmaster and Lu075M at 30fps.
1st image is Jansen

hope we get some better seeing.

Congratulations to Astromart Imagers!

Ditto the kudos!! These four use a wide range of instruments, cameras and processing techniques and produce images that professionals never thought possible 10 years ago! I'm proud to be associated with these four and everyone else around here. I have learned so much from everyone. Being a visual and wet film amateur for my first 40 years until 26 months ago I had never done any electronic imaging and now I can't get enough!

Thanks everyone for the great ride so far!!

Wes,

Awesome image (what else is new.. wink ). I'll bet you did very little with wavelets with that and likely not even much post processing. Can't wait to see some Mars from you (if the hurricane doesn't affect your seeing).
