Lumenera softwares

Posted By Paul Maxson

Chris,

I have used K3CCD with my Lumenera camera successfully, except the software limits the camera to 15fps. I have been tempted to use Vrecord as well, but just haven't taken the time. Streampix definately gives more control over the Lum cameras....for now....

Mars this morning

Posted By Paul Maxson

Jim,

Just goes to prove that sometimes the best time to observe is when the body says "no". I sure wanted to stay in bed this morning when the alarm went off at 1am, I pulled myself out of bed, washed water on the face and almost went back to bed when I felt a significant breeze blowing outside. I imaged anyway, and while I haven't processed anything yet, I could see a bright blue cloud on the terminator...so I have my fingers crossed for something nice.

Very sweet image you posted!!

Fixed Mars edge effect?

Mike,

Very, very nice!! Which wavelets are you adjusting? I have tried adjusting wavelets 5 and 6 to negative values with some level of success, especially on images shot in decent seeing.

Hires Clavius

Posted By Paul Maxson

Wes,

That is so good it's hard to find normal landmarks, we have to search new points of interest at higher resolution now. There are rilles or ridges in there I've never seen before, like aff the 2nd largest crater inside Clavius...WOW!!

Chase,

Very nice!! At least you have one memory of the opposition. But there will be plenty of opportunities over the next few months to add to it.
