Re: Cheney

Posted By Dwight Bogan

What I like about Cheney's history is that during the 1960's with everyone his age was off to Nam he was going to college getting deferment after deferment. He does not seem to have a problem with young Americans today going off to war. After all they did volunteer. That is so lame. They volunteered because in a lot of cases there was otherwise no future for them. If your family don't have the money to send their kids to college. What are they going to do. Get a Job? They have no real job skills so not unless they can find an employer that would be willing to train them with a job skill so rare in todays market of outsourcing. A lot of soldiers find themselves in the situation where they have a wife and kids and there current job does not pay for the family basic needs. Joining the reserve or in some cases full active duty helps a lot of these people out. Oh I guess you can call getting killed or injured in War as an Industrial accident.

Then there is my favorite Karl Rowe. Never served in the US Military. After all he was too busy being a Republican. grin Oh this is getting off topic.

God before creation ?

Posted By Dwight Bogan

It is really quite simple. God did not exist. God did not come into existance until about 3500 years ago when someone by the name of Abraham who lived in a small town called Ur in a country we now call Irag. The same country we are trying to steal all the Oil from.

Some may confuse the egyptian religeon as the originator of god but the egyptians were worshipping Ra the Sun god and all the other gods they worshipped were basically different aspects of the same god.

Tucson Observing Sites (w/ AC Power)

Posted By Dwight Bogan

Why would you be using AC power out in the field. DC to DC converters for laptops are readly available. If your using a SBIG camera they have a DC to DC convertor for the SBIG camera are available I use one for my ST10XE. Most of us who use power in the field bring with us a 70 Amp hr Optima deep cycle battery. I bring two one for my Mount and another for my laptop/ CCD camera. I know of others who bring with them 110 Amp hr Marine Deep cycle batteries to power their equipment in the field. For extended stays of imaging some guys have invested in a solar power panel to charge up their deep cycle batteries during the day. You don't need to power your equipment with AC current. Its converted to DC mostly 12VDC anyway's.

The Bush Legacy

Posted By Dwight Bogan

This last 8 years of Bush leadershop has really cost the average American and the fall out from this is going to be felt many years after bush is a distant memory and a bad one at that. What we are seeing in the news from the bad decisions being made to go into Iraq and the loss of income buying power of the American people and equity in properties is just the tip of the ice berg. Its going to get a lot worse. On top of that this country is pushing 10 trillion dollars in Debt and folks that is going to get paid back including the interest on that debt. George Bush and Co. has done more damage to this country and its economy than Osama Bin Laden could have dreamed of doing. The next few presidents are not even going to be able to do much more than damage control if that would even help. We are facing the demise and exticntion of the entire USA. All because of a very small minded power hungry group of people were allowed to gain control of the executive branch of this Government. Actually the Supreme court appointed this president the first time around. So you have to wonder who has the countries best interest in mind. I don't know if this country can even be saved nor do I even know if it is even worth saving. The current crop of presidential candidates don't even interest me at all. So this next election I don't even think I'll waste my time voting. No matter who we get for our next president it won't matter much and things are going to get a lot worse.

Oh for those who wonder I do know where France, Isreal, Iran, Irag, North and South Korea and Australia are located on the globe.

McCain Adviser: Terrorist Attack Beneficial

Posted By Dwight Bogan

You don't think that 911 was not benificial to George Bush and company. Its not to hard to surmise that a terrorist attck on US soil with loads of Americans getting wiped out would help any new Republican in office. We could say that Iran was behind it or even Syria then we could invade those countries and gain control of iranian Oil. While we are at it the Imperial Americans can go after Venezualia as well and install and American style puppet gov't like we did in Afganistan and Iraq. And you all thought not enough people in the world hate Americans.

Gee I remember not too long ago when in Nam Viet Cong and NVA's had no problems murdering American soldiers. Of course the existing Republicans back then had no problems sending young Americans to die in southeast Asia either. As long as it was not one of their own Who cares!

Counting the Bush Lies

Posted By Dwight Bogan

There is always someone to dispel the lying because they are looking for a Republican President that does not lie. Look how things went with Clinton. The Repubs lost out to Nixon who was involved with serious crimes against the country. Instead of going to prison with his cohorts he was let go in disgrace. Ever since then the Republican party has been doing everything it can do to discredit the Democrats because the Democrats took out the God of the Republicans.

So now we stand at the sunset of the Bush dictatorship and the lying for Iraq still continues. But.... never fear before this year is out the Bushites are going to start a war with Iran and folks this one could really cost us. But Bush and Chaney don't care there families won't be involved. Its only the count for nothing little American guy who is going to pay dearly for this one.

Ronald Reagan was right!

Posted By Dwight Bogan

Reagan was living in the past and already suffering from Alzheimer's whe he proposed the Star Wars progams which really went no where and wasted billions of dollars of taxpayers money which meant more dept.

Iran has no nukes and the intellegence gathering that Bush ordered for Iran has turned up no Nuclear Weapons development since 2003. Bush and Cheney has refused to accept those findings and are pushing ahead for a war with Iran. There goes another 2 trillion dollars down the toilet. Oh and to make poor Isreal safe tsk tsk tsk.

Have you guy's ever figured out how much money and economic aid the US govt has given Isreal over the last Thirty years.

Gee I wonder how much of my social security money was diverted to Isreal. McCain has already stated reducing benifits for those retiring to keep the Social Security system going.

Obama v. McCain v. Space

Posted By Dwight Bogan

Well consider that the Space Shuttle fleet is due to end their useful lives in 2010 we will not have a way to get to our space station for another 4 or 5 years! Except for the Russians. The Orion space vehicle riding on top of SRB's have a problem. The SRB's really shake and this is likely to cause some delays getting back into space let alone getting back to the moon.

Another problem this country faces due to you know who. That is the huge deficit over 9.5 trillion dollars and the gov't still spends way more than they are taking in. On top of that Social Security is going to be having shortfalls. I see a really big huge Tax increase on the middle class in this country. The gov't never will tax the rich they way they ought to.

So inspite of who gets into the white house I still don't see a return to the moon by this country in our lifetimes if ever.

The way things are going because of the short sightedness of the American people and its politicians the future belongs to someone else. Not the USA
