Then again I won't hold my breath because you've never one time had the OUNCE of character it takes to come on and admit when you've been wrong about something in the past.

You're too God Damned Arrogant and smug to do that.
Anyone who can read knows that I have posted  maybe ten times that I think a 1% death rate is very likely to be exaggerated by a factor of 10.  I posted my belief about lethality to Russ, I posted it to James.  Greg endorsed my belief.  How could you possibly be so stupid as to have missed it?

For those other than Richard, I am using the word "belief" intentionally, because we won't know actual lethality by demographic for some time.

You're too God Damned Arrogant and smug to do that.
By the end of the summer, I expect to see about 40-70K deaths in the US.  I expect the actual lethality to be approximately flu-like.  If there are far more deaths, then the experts who have informed my opinion were obviously very wrong and I was wrong too.  If there are far fewer deaths,  then I suspect that (a) the virus is less lethal than even conservative estimates (see the articles I posted yesterday), and (b) the social measures being taken (that I have acknowledged as being a possible overreaction) were effective.  Another possible wrong on my part.

The only thing I am absolutely 100% positive about is that in three weeks you will "call me out" when "we" (specifically the US, see below) do not have 150k deaths.  The fact that I have never predicted 150,000 deaths or 1% lethality will be lost on you.  The fact that I argued for far lesser lethality will be ignored by you, because you much prefer to argue against figments of your own fevered imagination than what other people actually say.

Your inkling?  How embarrassing for you.  I added arrows so that you can possibly appreciate that we were obviously talking about the US, in context.

Good grief man, that is not even an English sentence.  You need to take a walk.

I think my fees are well-deserved.  And if not deserved in the abstract, they are based upon the market rates.  The market.  You know, the invisible hand and all that we conservatives hold dear.  I think it is Elizabeth Warren you are actually channeling.

That is a flat out lie, and so you're a lying sack of shit. I've stated over and over this is an illness hyped by the media into something it isn't.

I've stated several times that this can be deadly to elderly folks just as the flu is and to those who have respiratory problems and issues with asthma, etc...

You're free to distort my assertions anytime you like, because you do it on a regular basis.

But then, I've come to expect your punk remarks, because you're nothing but a punk who has to resort to putting words into other's mouths.

And embarrassing? The only thing embarrassing for me is that I'm sitting here going back and forth with a walking, talking asshole like yourself.

Anyone else get the impression from Richard's earlier posts that this is exactly what he thinks?

40-70k is my entry into this macabre pool.  By the way, If you think there will only be 5k dead, why wouldn't you embrace the "nothing burger" comment?  I would call 5k dead an enormous relief and huge vindication of those like Russ and James who have advocated for aggressive social measures to minimize spread.

Of course.  Those of us who post here are fully able to place a value on your opinion.

Well, yes.  I certainly don't get to take home $450/hour.  Would be nice though.  I'd ask Ms. Brown what value/hour she places on time with me, but that might really be an ego hit!

See Richard, that was funny!

I have a wine mini fridge - 3 bottles across a rack and about 7 racks tall.  Does that count?  cool

Lunch break is far over.  Gotta get back at it!
