Bush Advancing on All Fronts

Posted By Rod Kaufman

THE biggest air campaign since the start of the war in Iraq is now unfolding, authorized by commander-in-chief George W Bush. This follows his analysis of just two days ago that "Iraq is not descending into the abyss." It's truly remarkable of how well our commander adapts his tactics to confuse and confound the enemy: shifting from peaceful analytic processes to overt warfare in such a short time span to completely catch the enemy off-guard.
Our commander's vision doesn't stop there: "Iran is now the biggest" threat, aggressor, nuclear annhilator (fill in your adjective)facing the US. This must mean the war in Iraq is coming to a close and the air campaign will cinch it.
It's truly remarkable that we have a man of such wit as our commander: Thank God for George W Bush!!!

Re: War protesters warm the hearts of soldiers

You want some "beef" in response?
You want it, you got it:
CNN reported this week that 71% of the soldiers polled on the ground in Iraq want us out this year. Contrast that with Bush and his statements that US troops will be there depending on a future president and future Iraqi governments.
Many US Officers have privately voiced their opinion that continued US military presence in Iraq only serves to inflame the situation rather than promoting stability in the region.
Most of the countries in the region, if not the world, believe the war in Iraq has made the world less safe. Al Queda thrives because of Iraq...
You have evidently not been keeping up on current events in that Iraq is in an undeclared state of civil war and the "flood of blood" continues on a daily basis..

Tall Afar Iraq: A Bush Failure

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Bush has proudly proclaimed Tall Afar Iraq has his shinning example of success in Iraq, calling it a "free city that gives reason for hope for a free Iraq."
The LA Times reports today: "this ethnically mixed city has become mired in the same sectarian strife and economic problems that afflict much of the rest of the country." "Fear is palpable in the streets." "Violence has increased, mortar attacks have increased, roadside bombs have increased."
One Iraqi leader residing there refers to it as a "city of ghosts."
Yet another prime example of a reality disconnect from commander in chief Bush and the people who support him...

Bush, Blame & Hussein

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Bush, in his latest triade of speechs on Iraq, is now blaming Saddam for the CURRENT state of civil "unrest" in Iraq.
The last I looked, Saddam has been locked up in what amounts to a vault, only to appear for his regular rantings in his horse and pony show trial.
To hear Bush tell it today, you'd think all of current sectarian warfare is due to the direction of the former dictator and absolutely none of it today has anything to do with the presence of US armed forces presently occupying Iraq.
Bush's rantings seem to change, however, from speech to speech. As Harry Reid noted, Bush claimed not too long ago that Iraqis would be controlling their own country by the end of the year, then he told US troops they'd be there until 2009. Let's also not forget that Bush said it would be up to future presidents and future Iraqi governments to determine when Us forces would finally be relieved of their burden.
Bush evidently doesn't understand that simply rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic doesn't solve the problem...

More on Tall Afar Iraq

Posted By Rod Kaufman

As most of us know and to hear Bush tell it, Tall Afar is the purported garden spot of Iraq. It's the pinnacle of success of Bush policies, strategies, and accomplishments of goals and objectives.
Most of us know of the letter the mayor of Tall Afar provided to Bush, praising the contribution of our forces in his township of two hundred thousand people. Bush proudly displayed the letter in one of his recent speehes on Iraq. What Bush didn't display was another letter from the mayor pleading for American forces to stay put in Tal Afar because the adminstration has no intention of doing so. When it does withdraw, the US will see the same horrendous level of setarian killings, murders and madness that it did when the US first withdrew for this "model village" in 2004.
I was going to refer to this as Bush's illusion but that would be too generous. That this is Bush's dillusion would be more accurate...

This is AMERICA - Get Out

Well, they're not getting the boot in Los Angeles but the students are getting arrested if they're not back in class instead of blocking taffic on our freeways. Or fighting with police, or spitting on them or generally ignoring laws or breaking them just as their parents did when they entered the country illegally.
Look you just need to be culturally sensitive and realize they are the victims and it's up to you to recognize it. Otherwise, they're back marching on our freeways, fighting with police, spitting on them, breaking the law or ignoring it...

Have YOU had you arsenic today?

You won't have to wait for the Bush bunch to see silver colored cod fillets in order to recognize mercury poisoning.
They'll simply rewrite the science so it's no longer an issue...

Rice: This Has Got To Stop!

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Condy has done it again, that broad has now shot her mouth off about Iran a day after Bush played down the threat of nuclear warfare against Iran.
Now we get an ultimatum from Ms Rice. Don't George and Condy communicate with each other, or watch or listen to the news, or just stop and take a deep breath and let the security council take a stab at it?
How about dropping the sabers for one freaking day and let the oil prices stabilize before the duets(and threats) begin? Why not let the UN try to do its job without the theatrics? Can't anybody shut that broad up?
Look, when George and Condy finish screwing it all up, it will be up to Israel to go and take care of the situation. What's the diff any way? I mean how much more can they hate Israel anyway? Might as well let them go in and let the US off the hook. The Israelis hit their targets too. Everybody knows US pilots can't hit the broad side of a barn. Just look at those misses in Afghanistan and Iraq. Body parts, cow parts, car parts just strewn about after another failed US strike on visible helpless targets. No wonder US military planners are reportedly considering tactical nuke strikes against Iran when you've got our guys at the joy sticks.(Remember that US F-16 pilot that shot up a school IN THE US last year?: You wouldn't find that clown in the Israeli airforce, that's for sure.)
Plus, US equipment is just plain junk. Take the patriot missile system. You think it's good? Your're darn tooting it's good. Why? Because the Israelis fixed it, that's why. Yep, the darn thing had a software glitch and its internal clock was off by 1/10 of a second. That doesn't seem like much but when your're tracking an incoming missile at Mach 5, 1/10 of a second is all the difference between a hit and a miss. The Israelis identified the glitch and informed the US who did nothing about it until a scud missile scored a direct hit in the first gulf war and killed a whole lot US military personnel. Then, and only then, did the US military listen and implement the fix advocated by the Israelis.
Oh, what the heck, just sit back and let George and Condy do it, and do it and do it...

Generals Blast Rumsfeld(Bush)

Posted By Rod Kaufman

SIX retired generals have gone public and blasted the failed leadership of Donald Rumsfeld. Terms like "abusive" "failed or lack" of "leadership", "arrogant" and so forth are used to describe Rumsfeld in calling for his resignation.
Since such an admission of resignation would amount to admitting failure of his policies, the president stands by his man.
Whom would you rather believe when it comes to judging the leardership of Donald Rumsfeld, six generals or George W Bush? If it's the latter, why?

Hosni Mubarak on Iraq

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Hosni Mubarak had this to say on the subject of Iraq on Al Arayiba TV on April 8: "Civil war has almost started" in Iraq. "At the moment, Iraq is almost close to destruction."
He had this to say about the Shiite majority living in Iraq: " Shiites are loyal to Iran and not to the countries they are living in."
What does he know about it anyway?
So he's an arab. So he lives in the middle east. So he's the president of Egypt. So he's survived numerous assasination attempts. What could he possibly know about it when we've got George W Bush and Dick Cheney telling us the exact opposite?...
