Well it kinda starts out on the wrong foot doesn't it.

"When you think of Jesus what comes to your mind?"

Nothing except a high doubtful story about someone(s)(I think Josephus counted thirteen if memory serves correctly) who may, or may not, have existed during the Roman occupation of the Israel.

Being a Catholic at one time I heard all of the supposed "truths" and I believe absolutely none of it.

Now, does prayer help. You damn right it does, just not the way you tend to think it does. I believe this more to be truthful"religion".

Mind is the master power that molds and makes.
And mind is man and evermore he takes
The tools of thought and shaping what he wills
Brings forth a thousand joys or a thousand ills.
He thinks in secret but it comes to pass
Environment is but his looking glass.

Re: Another tolerance scenario for the Musketeers

The point?

If you're trying to make an analogy to man and God from a father/son story then it's a feeble stretch. First of all Dad is a present being that the brat can see, and he ought to have his butt paddled.

God is nowhere to be found under any conditions unless you tend toward hallucinations. The only testimony you have are from a few individuals, of questionable motive, pounding the Bible and expecting you to believe that it is the word of God!

If they proclaimed it was the word of Constantine who got it from the horses mouth I'd be more inclined to believe them.

It's sort of like selling stuff too cheap. We're loosing money every year, but we're going to make it up in volume.

Re: Most Important Question?

"To explore any and all possibilities" would include studying the Word of God

And where would that be?

I suppose you're talking about the "Word of Constantine"!

I'm 73 and haven't heard God speak in my entire life! With the time I got let I doubt if I will hear it then either.

Boy do they lie!

Did you happen to notice that the Army Corp of Engineer's stated that the industrial channel levee had been topped!!!

Topped my butt! Here they are saying it had been topped when any damn fool looking at the TV could plainly see it had been breached.

It's just another classic example of what's going on now in government ALL THE TIME!

Bottom line - TRUST NO ONE! If they're mouths are moving; they are lying!

Sound Familiar?

Posted By Darrell Fichtl

Dr. Serge Lang, mathematical theorist at Yale, recently passed away. One of the things that he said was," The power structure does what they want, when they want; then they try to find reasons to justify it."

Does that perchance happen to sound familiar?

Ray:

As I've said many times before, when it comes to government, "Trust no one!"

Yet I see these "sheep" every four years rallying, knocking on doors, making phone calls for their "good" guy.

It's all elaborate Horse Pucky design to convince the buffoon that some "glorious change" is going to occur once in office. What nonsense!

Unless we find a way to return to our republican roots, we will go the way of all empires — simultaneously accumulating enemies and bankrupting ourselves in an eventually futile attempt to defeat them.

Nice thought but I don't think it will ever happen. The "Sugar Tit" is too sweet. I'm sure that the same arguments occurred in ancient Rome many centuries ago, don't you think?

I've suspected it for sometime now. You're absolutely correct, it all makes sense now. 8) I think we need to make the glasses darker so we don't notice it so much. We're stuck with it for another 3 years!
