The U.S. Department of Agriculture plans to [COLOR="Red"]spend about $38 million to buy domestic sugar [/COLOR]in a bid to ease a glut that sent prices plunging this month to a four-year low.

The surplus will be reduced by 300,000 short tons (272,155 metric tons) as the government buys sugar and [COLOR="Red"][COLOR="Purple"][COLOR="Red"]then gives it to U.S. refiners in exchange for credits normally used to import cheaper raw sugar from overseas[/COLOR][/COLOR], [/COLOR]the USDA said today in an e-mailed statement. The refined sugar would then be exported, the agency said.

Record production from cane and beet growers, who are supported by government restrictions on imported sugar, and duty-free supplies from Mexico left the biggest inventories in more than a decade and sent domestic prices tumbling 34 percent in the year ended June 14. [COLOR="Red"]The drop in value threatened to force growers to forfeit $110 million to $320 million of sugar to the USDA to avoid defaults on government loans. [/COLOR]

Our current tax system allowed this not for profit multi-billion dollar franchise to pay him over $35,000,000 last year as the head of this not for profit entity while the federal tax paid was......oh I forgot, they are not for profit.

sold my 102 a few months ago, I had a 2.7 inch diameter extension that they make that is 3 inches long and beefy, you unscrew your visual back, put this in its place and then screw the visual back into this, voila, 3 inches backfocus.

I've used both 18 and 14 sets! They were the sets I minimized to after using many. I still retain the 14's but opted for 19 Pans for ever so slightly wider field. On my TMB 115 and TEC 140, they had superior contrast and sharpness to Meade 24.5 SWA, the Pans and Nagler 16. You must have the interocular distance perfect, and the click stop correct as well, but I sure like mine.
