2 inch vs 1.25 inch EPs

I own a 15" Obsession and find myself using the 2 inch eyepieces a lot as well. But I find myself using the 10.5mm pentax XL quite a bit in my scope. Although the skies in Wilbraham aren't as steady as we'd like, I do have a 7mm and 5mm pentax for the more steady nights. I have had my scope up to about 685X with a 2.5 Nagler, but this was at WSP and it was an EXCEPTIONAL night. I've found never to need anything shorter then 5mm up here in MA. But having them is key. When the skies do steady I'm glad their in my case.

Depending on your focal ratio of your dob you would see your secondary with an eyepiece of that length. I can remember sliping in a 55mm Plossl and seeing mine.

Nagler Tele Vue 4.8mm?

It seems like you have a telescope that doesn’t track, so I would try and stay above 65 degrees of AFOV. in my opinion I would stay away from the 4.8 Nagler. The Hyperion is a good choice for the money. I owned one for my 15 Obsession. I sold it for two reasons....Biggest was that it didn't fit in my focuser like I had hoped. I have a Feather Touch and the bottom of the eyepiece wouldn't sit in the focuser right. Secondly it had a touch of false color around the outside of the field. I have recently upgraded to a Pentax 5mm XW.

Guns for Arthritics?

I just sold a Beretta .22 bobcat (21A) to a gentleman who purchased it for a friend with arthritis. The problem he was having was not being able to move the slide back to engage the first shot. If you look at the way the gun is set up their is very little effort needed to get the first shot down the barrel.

I have a Sig P229 in 9mm. It is a GREAT gun and very accurate. The double action is a bit heavy. You can send the gun to Sig and they will re work the trigger from a 10 pound pull to about 8 pounds. Not really that big of deal though and its about $150. I installed the short trigger and it really made the gun fit my hand better. I have small hands so the 229 was a better choice over the full size P226. The gun is a bit large to CC, but their are ways to get around that. Take a look at Cross Breed Holsters "super tuck deluxe". If you want a slimmer version of that gun look at P239. It is a single stack version of the compact. Unfortunaly it dosn't have the ammo capacity of the 229.

If your looking for a ultimate auto CC pistol. Look at the Kahr arms P9. If a revolver is ok then check out Rugers new LCR in .38 +p. only 12.5 oz.

I have found I carry my sig in the winter when cloths are heavier and the LCR in the summer.
