Good idea you have there. Stiff poles that can also break down for travel are a universal ATM problem.

And here's another scope I recently acquired, a slightly younger C8 on a Great Polaris. I converted the OTA over to the Super Polaris dovetail system with the dovetail attached to the mount instead of the OTA so I could swap OTA's between my GP and SP. This one has *superb* optics.

You'll notice I removed every trace of orange from both scopes. Love Celestron. Hate orange.

Great work and nice report Mark. I think the phrases "that rules" and "that rocks" have been officially replaced by "that's sick" according to my kids. ("sick" = "good"... but don't ask me why.) smile
