France says Get Ready!

Israel Takes Out Korean/Syrian Nuke

Posted By Rod Kaufman

The September 6th air-raid of Syria by Israel was reported by CBS today to have destroyed nuclear material delivered by North Korea to Syria. Although Israel won't discuss the airstrike, US intelligence officials reportedly told CBS news sources that an Israeli spy satellite, launched in June, tracked the shipment of the nuclear material to Syria where it was unloaded and delivered to a remote site in the desert of Syria. Israel then destroyed the site with a massive aerial assault two days later. US intelligence officials were said to be "delighted" over the outcome of the strike.
North Korea and Syria, huh, looks like the bad boys stick together, don't they...

Cheney Sets The Record Straight

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Dick Cheney, Vice President of the United States of America, has taken it upon himself to set the record straight in response to the harsh criticism leveled against the Bush administration By Alan Greenspan.
Before we consider Cheney's response, we need to appreciate the expertise and the credibility of the vice president, especially when someone of Alan Greenspan's stature directs such overwhelming criticism at the Bush administration.
It should be obvious by now the Mr Cheney clearly commands the high ground in a showdown with Mr Greenspan.
For example, Mr Cheney aptly informed the country of the impending threat to our national security from Saddam Hussein when he said, "Simply put, Iraq has weapons of mass destruction." Much of that threat was deduced by the capable analysis of intelligence reports performed by Mr Cheney.
Mr Cheney also prognosticated how are troops would be received upon their arrival in Iraq when he said the troops would be "welcomed as liberators" with "rose pedals" at their feet.
He also predicted that the "insurgency is in it's final throes." And that was just three years ago!
Mr Cheney has also corrected the CIA and the Pentagon by pointing out the Al Queada and Saddam were collaborating prior to 9/11. I'm glad he cleared up that one and set the record straight, once and for all.
Now for the matter at hand, Mr Cheney has thoroughly refuted Alan Greenspan in an article just published in the Wall Street Journal. In the article, Mr Cheney points out that the overwhelming deficit described by Mr Greenspan is really for our own national security in the war on terror and our president, Mr George W Bush, had to expand our spending to protect us all.
Then Mr Cheney deftly summed up his main argument against Alan Greenspan by simply putting it as: "Alan Greenspan is off the mark!"...

It seems so familiar ...

"A powerful, largely invisible influence on Bush's Iraq policy..."
The continuing migration of the population of Iraq, now at three million and climbing at a rate of 20,000 per day into Syria, amounts to defacto ethnic cleansing. Much of the apparent reduction in the fighting in the providences and in the cities of Iraq isn't due so much to Bush's "surge" as it is to the decrease in the warring factions who have fled the country for Jordan and Syria. Thus, much of the "progress" that Bush and his supporters gleefully profess these days is nothing more than a testament to their failure in comprehending the upheaval occurring in Iraq on a daily basis...

Massive Fraud & Our Blackwater Friends

Posted By Rod Kaufman

The Pentagon is busy these days, tracking terrorists and 6 billion dollars in fraudulent spending in the war effort. Adding to the fiasco, Blackwater Inc, the mercenary private contractor group that wasted a bunch of Iraqi civilians last week, is now being investigated for supplying US arms bound for Iraq to terrorists.
Bush voters are sure getting their monies worth...

Pushing for war in Iran

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Yet another experienced voice is added to the growing concern over talk of war with Iran. The CNN website article appears to confirm what others, such as senator Obama, are saying they keep hearing from the Bush administration. It appears that Dick Cheney is continuing his drive for war with Iran, probably based upon his own analysis of raw intelligence reports. We all know how dangerous the latter can be...

Re: Polls say Hillary could cost Dems the Presiden

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"It will be very similar to the garbage that was posted here in November 2004."
As for me, I posted a congrats when the election was decided.
In contrast to the previous threads on the matter of Hillary winning the election,(from our conservative posters), I expect her to lose, basically due to gender bias from a number of sources.
I also previously posted the fact that Fred Thompson leads Guilani among evangelicals and I could also post a link to a LA Times article on how the president in general and Bush in particular directly affects the economy of our nation but our resident posters seem to think they know better so why bother?...

Re: Hillary and Religion

"Actually there is not enough out there on Fred yet to know what to think of him."
That statement, in and of itself, is quite telling.
Fred didn't even participate in a Republican debate and, yet, his standing among evangelicals out gunned Guliani almost immediately after his latent announcement occured that he was running.
They don't even know anything about the guy, except what they think heard and what they think they know about him and he's right there to pander to their expectations of him.
They know...
